Hi Esmelda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting Zelda Coffee Bar was a journey deeply rooted in our family’s love and memories. The name “Zelda” comes from our beloved dog, a boxer named Zelda, who was an incredible source of joy and energy. She filled our home with happiness and love, and we wanted to carry her spirit into our business. The thought process behind starting our own coffee business was inspired by the same zest for life that Zelda had.

We wanted to create something that wasn’t just about serving coffee, but about creating an experience. Specialty coffee has always been a passion for us, and we saw it as a way to bring people together, just like Zelda did for our family. Our goal was to offer more than just a cup of coffee; we wanted to provide a moment of connection, warmth, and joy to our customers. We envisioned a space where each cup of coffee is crafted with care, reflecting our love for the tradition of coffee making and our desire to make every event special.

By establishing Zelda Coffee Bar, we aimed to transform ordinary moments into memorable experiences, just as Zelda transformed our everyday lives with her boundless energy and love. Our business is a tribute to her legacy, and we strive to infuse that same spirit into every aspect of our service.

tarting Zelda Coffee Bar has been an incredible journey fueled by passion and persistence. What sets us apart is our dedication to creating unique, immersive coffee experiences that bring joy and connection, inspired by our beloved dog, Zelda.

Getting here wasn’t easy. We faced countless challenges, from perfecting our coffee recipes to navigating the logistics of mobile coffee service. But with each obstacle, we learned the importance of resilience and community. Our family and friends were instrumental in providing support and encouragement, keeping us motivated.

One of our proudest moments was seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces, knowing we made their event special. We’ve learned that success is about more than just hard work; it’s about heart and passion.

At Zelda Coffee Bar, we want the world to know that every cup of coffee we serve is a labor of love, crafted to create memorable experiences. Our journey is a tribute to Zelda’s spirit, and we strive to bring that same joy and energy to everything we do.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Denver for a week, I’d create an itinerary that highlight the best of what our beautiful city and its surroundings have to offer, all while celebrating coffee, family, and nature.

Day 1: Downtown Denver
Morning start with a visit to Zelda Coffee Bar for a warm welcome and best specialty coffee in town

Day: Explore the Denver Art Museum and stroll through the vibrant streets of the RiNo Art District
Day 2: Boulder, hike the Flatirons, soaking in breathtaking mountain views
Day3: Golden, Visit Red Rocks Amphitheatre for morning hike, tour the Coors Brewery and grab lunch at local diner
Day4: Rocky Mountain National Park, spend the day hiking trails like Bear Lake and Alberta Falls
Day5: Lake Dillon, rent kayaks and enjoy the serenity mountain scenery
Day6: Evergreen lake
Day 7 Cherry creek

Absolutely! Our shoutout goes to our incredible customers, family and friends who have been our biggest cheerleaders from day one. Special thanks to our late dog, Zelda, whose joyful spirit inspired our journey. A big nod to our local Denver community for their unwavering support and to the book “Start with Why” by Simon Sinek, which helped shape our vision and purpose.
