We had the good fortune of connecting with Lorica Hrubes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lorica, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process to starting my own business started back in 2009. I coordinated my own wedding, from centerpieces to what food to cook. Also always having an inspiring muse as a child into adulthood, I’ve been actively creatively creating since. it’s allowed me to express myself as a artist, giving me the opportunity to connect with fellow artist.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What set’s me apart from other’s, that’s a great question but more importantly to me is. What brings me closer to other’s, the love an passion for creatively creating together. I’m humble an proud to share this journey, hopefully inspiring others to preserve with their dreams. How I’ve gotten to where I am now, I couldn’t have done alone. It hasn’t been easy, I’ve wanted to give up numerous times enduring trials. I over came that with love, encouragement an support of those closest to me. I’ve learned to create from the heart an not the head, always challenging myself beyond what I was told I couldn’t do. What I want the world to know about my story, I’ve overcome to much not to encourage other with similar obstacles. As Marilyn Monroe once said ” Always, Always Always believe in yourself, if you don’t who will sweetie ”

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would visit places like the Stanley Market place in Denver, it’s a small shopping area fill with the most diverse restaurants, art and goods. We would also go to places like Iron Mountain Hot springs or travel northwest to Estes Park. Their downtown shopping is small business owned, which makes it all the more special. It’s some of the most magical places to visit in Colorado, spent memorable times on these places with my husband. As a Colorado native myself, I’d recommend once it’s back open. Visiting a must see place called Casa Bonita.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate my journey to numerous special people, one who is no longer here an to those I’m very blessed for the lives who encouraged me to this very day. Josephine P Ferons (passed way 10/10/22) Ramona T, my twin sister Nicole.
