We had the good fortune of connecting with Fallon Rose Dalton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fallon Rose, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always loved creating and cultivating art. When you have multiple passions, it can be hard to find alignment. Which is why I believe you don’t have to choose one; being your own business owner gives one the flexibility to combine all of their passions, however they see fit.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is an imitation of life. I’m most proud to show what it can look like, to have a healthy and bountiful life as a transwoman. It’s taken me about 6 years of tenacity, and resilience to get to the point in my craft I am today. It definitely was, and is not easy- but someone once said, if you do what you love you’ll never work a day in your life. I believe every challenge is a stepping stone, to lift you to your next level of greatness. I’ve learned many a lesson along the way, but the most important is to stay true to who you are, and to never give up on yourself- despite what the world may say.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Colorado is home to so much beauty, I think it depends on the time of year, for what’s my favorite attractions. If the weather permits, I love seeing the beautiful scenery of nature, whether that be Garden of the Gods, or a fourteener. After that, I would take them around the “gayborhood”. I would show them how loving and accepting Colorado is, visiting some of my favorite places: Champagne Tiger, Xbar, Tracks, or Charlie’s. Ending the night potentially at Red rocks, or another amazing concert venue.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Although there are a multitude of people that have assisted in my journey, I want to take a moment to recognize the two closest to my heart. First, Angelique Godwin, a Black-Latina Transwoman who helped me find my true identity. Angelique took me to my first shot appointment and helped me find the light inside. After moving to Colorado, I met the amazing John Lambert-Roberts, aka Juiccy Misdemeanor. Juiccy has become my mentor, and shown me what it looks like when you combine love, with hard work & dedication.
