We had the good fortune of connecting with Farrah Haase and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Farrah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Yoga has been a constant in my life for over 20 years—it’s not just a passion, it’s my rock. It’s something I return to again and again, especially in times of stress, uncertainty, or transition. Over the years, I’ve pursued extensive training—earning certifications in seven different styles of yoga and diving deep into yoga philosophy and the study of the nervous system. This journey wasn’t just academic—it was personal. Having navigated my own experiences with trauma and anxiety, I’ve witnessed firsthand how profoundly yoga can support healing, regulation, and reconnection with the self.

Starting my own business felt like the natural next step. It allows me to bring all of this together—my experience, my creativity, my passion—into something meaningful and fully aligned with who I am. I offer customized, trauma-sensitive, and deeply intentional classes that help people slow down, rest, and tune into their own bodies. I want students to feel empowered, not just to stretch or move, but to truly listen inward and learn what balance and regulation feel like for them.

There’s also a practical side to the decision: most yoga studios simply can’t offer a sustainable living wage for seasoned teachers. After years of hard work and growth, it felt like time to step out on my own. Running my own business has given me more flexibility to follow my creative flow—whether that’s designing new offerings, connecting more deeply with students, or creating content for my YouTube channel, which has become such a fun and fulfilling way to share my work with a wider audience.

At the heart of it, I believe in the ripple effect of this work. The more we learn to rest, regulate, and reconnect, the more we can bring calm, clarity, and compassion into the world. Starting my own business has allowed me to live that mission more fully.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work blends years of teaching experience with deep study in yoga philosophy, somatic practices, and nervous system education. I specialize in classes that are restorative, mindful, and attuned to the individual—offering space to slow down, reconnect, and feel safe in the body.

What sets my work apart is the combination of depth and accessibility. I don’t teach yoga as performance—I teach it as presence, weaving ancient wisdom with tools for modern life.

The path hasn’t always been easy, but I stayed committed to the practice, to my students, and to creative evolution.

What I want the world to know is this: Yoga isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about remembering who you are. My hope is that every offering helps someone feel more grounded, whole, and at home in themselves.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend visited, we’d see a concert at Red Rocks, have an amazing dinner at Uchi, and spend a few days in the mountains—hiking, camping, and soaking in hot springs. We’d also do some yoga in one of Denver’s beautiful parks. It’s the perfect way to connect, recharge, and enjoy the best of Colorado.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my longtime students—your trust and presence continue to inspire me. I’m also grateful to my teachers, family, and friends for their support over the years.
