Meet Francesca + Nicodemus Piazza | Podcasters

We had the good fortune of connecting with Francesca + Nicodemus Piazza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Francesca + Nicodemus, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Shoutout Colorado How to know whether to keep going or to give up?
In the words of the great Jay Z, “The genius thing that we did is we didn’t give up.” This is something we live by because it helps us not feel discouraged. We’re the Saucy Sibz, Francesca and Nicodemus, and we’ve been podcasting now for 11 months. Starting your own show in the midst of what seems like every talented, hilarious, clever, rockstar saturating the internet with their genius is daunting to the point of inaction. Could we really have a podcast with content as good as the greats? It’s a dizzying question to ask yourself as there’s a million reasons to think small and quit now before we’ve made too big of fools out of ourselves. It would have been really easy to give up when a lot of people made fun of us and remarked things like, “What do you guys think you have to say?” But then we would have never gotten to hear the recent comments of, “Your podcast brightens my week, it makes me laugh out loud in public, and I love how much it reminds me of good times with my own siblings!”
When a creative “blows up” everyone thinks it’s an overnight success but in reality they didn’t see the years of grinding and pivoting that happened prior to that.
We only just started seeing huge jumps in the numbers of people listening to us and in turn, real sponsors reaching out to advertise with us.
A lot of people don’t want to be seen starting from the bottom but that’s something we had to get over. We believe you have to make bad shit to make good shit and throw judgements from others to the wind. Because how else are you supposed to get better? We’re determined to keep going because of all the people we make laugh, whether it be with us or at us, and those that tell us when everything seems to be going wrong in their life, they know they have the Sibz to put on and not feel as alone. As we move forward step by step, our belief in ourselves has grown into something beautiful. Something living. So yes, we actually call ourselves the Saucy Sibz, and as bold and hilarious as that is, its real, and starting to make headlines.
So come hang out with us every Thursday anywhere podcasts are found! As for knowing when to give up? As long as we’re having fun, you’ll find us with a mic in our hands telling the world about it!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are the Saucy Sibz, siblings that quit our jobs January 2020 to move out to Summit and take some time off to figure out our lives. We all know what happened in 2020, and that turned into 3 years working industry jobs and beginning to call Colorado home. We always found ourselves together and getting into the most ridiculous situations that eventually people started calling us the Saucy Sibz and telling us we had to start recording our stories! After countless YouTube searches we saved up to buy some equipment and hit record. We discovered we both loved it and absolutely wanted to keep going and spend the rest of our lives in entertainment. Who knows the direction this podcast will take, but for now, we just aim to keep people laughing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We LOVE living in Summit County. We would tell our best friend to start out at House of Vibes in Silverthorne for some coffee, and possibly a crystal or local handmade good. Next we would send them to Sapphire Point with some sunflower seeds to feed the ground squirrels and see breathtaking views of Lake Dillon. Then we’d send them down Hwy9 to Breckenridge to check out RMU, the ski shop/cocktail bar/local hangout. Next, they could mosey across the street to Carboy Winery for a Happy Hour consisting of local wine and small bites. Late night, Gold Pan Saloon next door, the oldest bar west of the Mississippi turns into a dance party on the weekends!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly, YouTube has been our biggest support in helping us start this podcast. It helped us with what equipment we should buy, where to start, branding, and helped us see that with the right guidance, podcasting isn’t Rocket Science. We’d also like to shoutout local House of Vibes for keeping us caffeinated and always being the friendliest, best workspace!
