We had the good fortune of connecting with Garett Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Garett, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is something I’ve had to embrace from day one. It’s not just an occasional factor—it’s a constant companion in my line of work. From capturing the raw energy of live performances to producing video content for larger-than-life events, every project involves stepping out of my comfort zone.
At the start of my career, risk looked like a leap of faith: investing in expensive equipment, navigating unpredictable schedules, and sometimes committing to projects without guaranteed returns. There were countless sleepless nights, wondering if I was making the right call, if my creativity and vision would be recognized. But over time, I’ve come to see risk as a necessary ingredient for growth.
Taking risks opened doors to opportunities I would have otherwise never seen. I’ve worked with artists I admire, built relationships with event organizers, and expanded my portfolio in ways that are impossible without a willingness to face uncertainty. The risks have also allowed me to push the boundaries of my creativity—experimenting with new techniques, breaking away from traditional methods, and delivering something unique to clients.
Risk is also about managing failure, and I’ve learned to embrace it as part of the journey. Not every shoot or project goes according to plan, but each setback provides invaluable lessons that help me refine my craft and grow both personally and professionally.
In the entertainment industry, where change is constant and competition is fierce, embracing risk is essential. It’s not about being reckless; it’s about being adaptable, willing to learn, and having the courage to move forward despite the uncertainty.
Ultimately, the rewards far outweigh the risks—growth, creativity, and the opportunity to shape something memorable. So, as I continue to build my business, I remain committed to taking calculated risks because, in the end, that’s what keeps the adventure alive.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
At the heart of my work is a passion for capturing the raw, electrifying moments that define live performances. As a photographer and videographer my art goes beyond simply documenting an event. I aim to bring the energy, emotion, and spirit of every show to life—whether it’s a small intimate performance or a massive arena concert. Each frame I capture tells a story that resonates with both the artist and the audience. My goal is to craft an experience that transcends the visual, creating something anmazing and unforgettable.
What sets me apart is my focus on authenticity. In an industry that often thrives on polished, perfect imagery, I lean into the chaos and unpredictability of live events. I embrace the flaws, the spontaneous moments, the unexpected magic that happens in real-time. There’s a unique thrill in capturing something unscripted, something that only exists in that one fleeting moment. I want my work to feel alive, not staged. It’s about letting the energy of the performance speak for itself.
What excites me the most is the ability to connect with artists and audiences alike. I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with some incredible musicians, from up-and-coming talents to industry legends, and each experience has been a reminder of why I started in this business—to give voice to the moments that matter. There’s nothing like the rush of capturing that perfect shot when the crowd is at its peak, or that fleeting moment of vulnerability when an artist pours their soul into a performance.
My journey to where I am today wasn’t easy. Like many small business owners, I faced my share of obstacles—financial challenges, long hours, and self-doubt. I started with a small investment in gear, and it was a risk. I had to teach myself not only the technical aspects of photography and video production but also the business side—marketing, client relations, budgeting. There were times when I felt like giving up, when the pressure seemed insurmountable. But my passion for this craft and the belief that I could offer something unique kept me going.
Overcoming those challenges came down to persistence, learning from mistakes, and surrounding myself with a supportive network. There’s no shortcut to success, and I had to be patient with myself. I also learned to trust my instincts and not compare my progress to others. Every photographer and videographer has their own path, and it’s about staying true to your voice and your vision.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is the importance of resilience. The entertainment industry is fast-paced and ever-evolving, and you have to be adaptable. Sometimes, things don’t go as planned—equipment fails, timelines shift, or unexpected setbacks arise. But each challenge has taught me the value of being resourceful, thinking on my feet, and turning obstacles into opportunities.
When people think of my brand, I want them to know that I’m committed to authenticity and storytelling. I’m not just capturing images or footage—I’m telling the story of the moment, the artist, and the audience. I want my work to feel immersive and alive, whether it’s the roar of the crowd or the quiet, reflective moments between sets. It’s about making every frame count, about giving my clients and the audience something that resonates beyond the visual.
At the end of the day, my story is about passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of capturing the art of live performance in its truest form. Every project is an opportunity to push the boundaries of my craft, and I’m excited for the journey ahead.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Start with breakfast at Snooze, then head to Red Rocks for a tour. Explore RiNo’s vibrant street art and stop by Great Divide Brewing. Catch a show at Mission or the Ogden. Lunch at local spot , followed by a visit to the Denver Art Museum. Spend a day in Boulder, hiking or sight seeing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly I have so many wonderful and creative people to thank for the position I’m at in my career right now but none of this would be possible with out the first opportunity I was given to do photo and video for a show in Denver for Kimati who has since then become a great friend and inspiration, but I never thought any of this would be possible without someone like him to take that chance on me to show what I can do.
