We had the good fortune of connecting with Garryn Skurulsky, L.Ac. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Garryn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It wasn’t that I wanted to start my own business per se. My desire was to become an acupuncturist and help as many people as I could with Chinese medicine. To do this, usually you have to create your own clinic. The business aspect happened as a byproduct.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am highly qualified in cosmetic acupuncture (facial acupuncture) and gua sha. In my clinic, I also successfully treat women with fertility issues helping them navigate pregnancy naturally and through their IUI or IVF process. Lately, it seems like my clinic is bustling with PCOS patients. As a result, I keep up to date on fertility and PCOS literature both in the western and eastern medical realms. Other passions include treating insomnia, anxiety, depression, and digestive issues. After the quarantine, I had a lot of people who reached out wanting a treatment to de-stress. I think we all need that right now! What sets me apart from other acupuncture clinics is that Wellnest is a solo practice. My patients receive a personalized, hands-on approach, I will be your provider throughout your health process. Also, I have studied with the top cosmetic acupuncture masters. For my cosmetic acupuncture facial patients who wish for a natural anti-aging treatment, I have blended what I have learned from my teachers and created my own anti-aging protocol that gets amazing results. I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built in my community and that people trust me with their life story and health journey.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to the Botanic Gardens, the Red Rock Amphitheater, Union Station, and a Broncos game! My usually hit list for all things food & drink are: champagne at The Cooper Lounge, a couple drinks at Williams & Graham, and Wine at Postinos. For Nibbles I enjoy ChoLon, Sushi Den, Table 6, Fruition, and True Food Kitchen.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My fiance is my rock. The way he lives his life is an inspiration- and I’m not just saying that. He doesn’t have to say much. He just shows up. Yes, my teachers. My knowledge is a direct link to the lineage of this medicine. We as a human race, stand on the shoulders of giants. I’m not alone in that regard. Also, Emily Davis from Stratum Esthetics has been a huge support. I’m thankful that there are female business owners that want to help others. As it should be!
