We had the good fortune of connecting with Geoff Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Geoff, how does your business help the community?
At Period Kits we believe no one should have to choose between food and tampons. We provide kits that provide 90 day supply of period products to those experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and extreme poverty. We are working to achieve this vision through street outreach, and by providing kits to community partners who serve those struggling to meet basic needs.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Most proud of providing a means of dignity and healthy options to someone who may not be able to afford it. The one main thing I have learned along the way is that you have to do SOMETHING. I am not an expert in women’s health issues, or systemic causes of homelessness but I knew that Period Kits provides a vital service and that nobody should have to choose between food and tampons. Our story is very simple, It’s about health and dignity. Period.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Nonprofit Fight Club, All Board of Directors–past, present and future. Cindra, Alexis, London, Jordan, Marissa, Kayleigh, Keira, Hannah, Dana and Simon. Most importantly, every volunteer that has donated time and money (or both) to our mission.
