We had the good fortune of connecting with Georgia Grey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Georgia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and other autoimmune conditions. Upon my diagnosis, I felt helpless with what to eat and how to heal. After years of self-care, nutrition changes, and earning my degree as a certified holistic health coach, I was able to put my symptoms into remission. I realized the need for someone in the autoimmune nutrition space. They are incredibly common conditions without many resources.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are plenty of people in the holistic nutrition space, but what separates me from others is I can truly empathize with my clients. Many of my clients come to me feeling ill, not themselves, and desperate for their life back. They’re used to sitting in countless doctor’s offices or trying different ways of eating without anyone understanding or having success. It’s an honor to sit there with someone and truly understand how they feel. It was nowhere near easy to get where I am, but I am so glad that I persevered. The biggest thing I was told and I can contribute to my success is never giving up. People would ask me what my plan was “if my business didn’t work” and my response was-no plan, because that’s not an option. I will do whatever it takes to make this business work-and I did. Even on those hard days I never lost hope that in time I would be successful. I think it also takes a team-business coaches, reading books, meeting with other entrepreneurs, working on your SELF since so much of YOU is your business. I want people to know that they deserve to put themselves first and it is possible to feel well despite an autoimmune diagnosis, extra weight, imbalanced hormones, etc. I so often see people who give up the possibility that they can heal and regardless if someone works with me or not I want them to know that healing is possible.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
