We had the good fortune of connecting with Germany Gabrielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Germany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create something I haven’t seen done in recent years and make it 100% healthy as well as presenting it being black owned and collaborating with my mother . 

What should our readers know about your business?
Starting a Vegan, Gluten-free, Cruelty-Free Cosmetic line has it’s overwhelming times, but is has really been a joy to make. I always want to make sure the ingredients are spot on and truly good for the customers. I want to leave my customers happy and with healthy results they can see. All blends are absolutely chemical free .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colorado has some crafts amazing places ! For a night out on the town I love Lodo area in Denver, for a good eat I mean anywhere in Denver the small businesses always have great authentic food to ne no matter where you go . Hiking in Boulder and any trails along I-70 and west are amazing dream sites! Boulder, and pearl street are always my favorite to walk around and enjoy food as well. Colorado has really amazing places all over!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mom has been a huge inspiration in all of it , it was truly her idea to start the lashe business, it was something in me that said make a Cosmetic line, and create a Mother and Daughter Collaboration. In the beginning it was to be called ” Sookie’s Mink Lashes and Eyeshadow and Mascara by GG a Mother and Daughter Collaboration” . My mom got overwhelmed with all my ideas I wanted to pursue with the business and left me to run it and she’ll just continue the lashes under her name but with my Cosmetic line. She gave me the title “GG’s Cosmetics” and said It’s mine. Ever since I have worked hard to make this line the best it can be and the healthiest. With the encouragement of my Boyfriend Trayvon and my good friends Alicia Myers, and Janelle Tejan and a few others I could name, I have continued to strive and really put my best forward they help me push through the tough times in wanting to give up. They have truly been the therapist for me behind this all.
