We had the good fortune of connecting with Giuseppe Quarata and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Giuseppe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my own business more from necessity. I have always dreamed of having my own business, but I never felt ready to start. When I moved to the US to study from Switzerland, I had to quit my job and stay for over a year without a job while I was going to school. During that time, I met my girlfriend and now wife, and in the summer, I was supposed to go back to Italy because I am originally from Italy. I really wanted to stay with my girlfriend. To do so, I found out that I could change my visa into an investor visa by starting my own business and investing $50k or more in the business. I didn’t have that money, but Christ provided for all my needs, and I was able to hire two employees right away to work in the business.

What should our readers know about your business?
My background is what sets me apart. Before starting a business, I was already successful. At the age of 24, I had a Senior position in an engineering company; I was the leader of a project. This is to say that I never was afraid of challenges and that I grew up with numbers speaking to me. What really moved me so fast to the high position is the fact that I can analyze every situation in minutes, discover problems, and also optimize the processes. My analytics and problem-solving skills are what I also use in my business to separate myself from the average. It doesn’t matter how hard or complex your situation is; my engineering background has given me the tools to understand your situation. All through the years, with my own business, I designed it around customer service; like Chick-fil-A, we want to give the highest customer satisfaction by also being able to generate only premium and luxury quality. We are always up to any challenge, and doesn’t matter how complex your business is, I will be able to break it down and make it simple to be able to create the best marketing and sales strategies for your success.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If was in town I would take my friend at Downtown Colorado Springs & Beyond, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak & Manitou Springs, Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Royal Gorge & More. With a bit more time, I would also visit Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and hope there is a concert we can go to watch together.
If my friend is up for a trip, I would suggest taking a scenic drive southwest of Cañon City to the towns of Westcliffe and Silver Cliff, nestled between the Wet Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo range. The quiet area, home to 200 miles of hiking trails and 54 alpine lakes, has an air of quiet solitude. Peek into the Westcliffe Depot railroad museum and stop for a performance or movie at The Historic Jones Theater.
Regarding food, I suggest going to Momo Korean Restaurant or Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza in Colorado Springs.
In Denver I would go to: Blackbelly Market & Restaurant, Mini Moo’s Tea Shop, Urban Burma, Marco’s Coal Fired

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
For me, the biggest recognition goes to God for sure, and the best book for anyone to start or do anything is the bible. I found a lot of wisdom by reading the bible, which has taken me to the success I have now. God’s guidance is what brings life to my business. I also want to thank my wife, who stands with me in faith and works with me toward the goal we both share. I also want to mention my mother, who lives in Italy; she has always been the fire in the house I grew up in and the motivation that everything is possible in life, it doesn’t matter how hard it is and how little money we have. She is a true inspiration. Books that anyone should read, I suggest The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime to help change the wrong mindset that the school have imparted in your brain.
For the business, I suggest reading Building a StoryBrand: Clarify Your Message So Customers Will Listen and Never Split the Difference: Negotiating As If Your Life Depended On It
