We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregg Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gregg, what is the most important factor behind your success?
There are many factors that have contributed to our success, but the biggest one is dedication. I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to show up at a job site in the middle of the night—stopping the damage, stabilizing the situation, and setting the course for restoration.
Dedication is at the core of how we serve our customers. In times of emergency, they need more than just a solution—they need reassurance and a clear plan to ease their stress. We are committed to guiding them through every step of the process with an open line of communication.
It also takes dedication to care for our employees and ensure our business continues to grow for their sake. Returning customers and referrals are a major driving force behind our success. When you treat people right and work hard for them, they remember. They trust you to take care of them in the future—and to take care of their friends and family as well.
Through dedication, hard work, and countless hours, we have built Action Restoration into a trusted name for ten years—and with that same commitment, we plan to serve for many years to come.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Action Restoration and Property Services sets itself apart from the competition by being both client- and family-oriented, allowing customers to be actively engaged in their projects. We prioritize clear and consistent communication throughout the entire process. As a proud family-owned and operated business, we are deeply committed to every aspect—whether it’s big-picture strategy or day-to-day operations, checking in on jobs, and working closely with insurers.
Our 10-year journey has not been easy. Balancing the demands of raising a young family with five children and numerous activities while running a 24-hour business has been a challenge. Emergencies can arise at any moment, turning someone else’s crisis into our own. From leaving in the middle of the night for a job to returning home only to wake up early and help my wife, we have faced countless challenges. But through teamwork, strong family support, and unwavering dedication, we’ve overcome them. My wife and children have been incredible pillars of strength, and I’ve leaned on my parents and siblings to help us keep things running.
Through the years, I’ve learned that no problem is too big. With the right tools, the right team, and proper training, any job can be completed to the customer’s satisfaction. Although our brand is small and rooted in Northern Colorado, we have the expertise to handle projects of any size. Our story is just beginning, and we look forward to reaching and helping more families in Northern Colorado.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
From growing up in Steamboat Springs to attending high school in Fort Collins, and now raising my kids here, I’ve been lucky to live in two of the best places in Colorado. These areas mean so much to me and my family, and I wouldn’t stray too far from them.
If I had a week to share the beauty of these places with my loved ones, I’d start with three days in Steamboat. We’d explore the mountain, take an evening gondola ride, hike Fish Creek Falls, and unwind at Strawberry Park Hot Springs. If it were winter, I’d bring my snowmobiles, and maybe we’d even try snowboarding for a day—but for now, let’s stick to summertime in Colorado.
The remaining four days would be spent back in Fort Collins, soaking in sunny afternoons in our backyard, watching the kids play. We’d visit a local brewery, grab a bite from a food truck, and take a quick, family-friendly hike up Devil’s Backbone. To cap off the week, we’d spend a full day on the boat at Horsetooth Reservoir, enjoying the water and making unforgettable memories.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support of my parents, who instilled in me a strong work ethic from a young age. They encouraged me when I was unhappy in my previous career and gave me the confidence to take a risk—moving closer to family and starting a business of my own. Through every step of the journey, both in business and in our personal lives, they have been there, helping with our kids and offering their wisdom. Having my father as a business resource, learning from his experiences, and applying his knowledge has been an incredible blessing in my small business journey.
To my wife—my greatest partner in life and in business. She is always there for me, offering reassurance in moments of stress and anxiety, reminding me that everything will be “all right.” Whether waking up early with the kids so I can catch a little extra sleep after a long night at work or telling me “just go” when an urgent call comes in right at bedtime, she handles it all with strength and grace. Managing five kids on her own is no small task, yet she keeps our home clean and organized, creating a space of comfort for when I return. She truly is the foundation of our family and the heartbeat of our business, and together, we make an incredible team.
