We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Rosenblum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work life balance was one of the main driving forces for me starting my own business. In my previous roles working with other companies, I had an unhealthy relationship with work and often felt pressured to continue working once I got home even though I had been working in the office from 8 to 5 that day. Since starting my own business, I have come up with a plan that really works for me. Sometimes that looks like taking a day off during the work week and working on the weekend, and sometimes that might mean starting my workday at 2 p.m. and working into the evening. Having the structure and flexibility with my schedule allows me to strategically work during my most productive hours and still have time for myself. To me, having a strong work life balance is the key to longevity and success in your business. If you’re not taking care of yourself, you can’t properly take care of your business either.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Rosey Social is a social media agency focused on getting your business in front of the right people on the right platforms to create relationships, conversations and grow your brand. We handle all things social media related including writing and publishing posts, responding to comments and messages, engaging with potential clients and like-minded brands, designing brand-specific graphics and overall account management on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Whether you want videos, custom graphics, memes, infographics or GIFs, we’re here to make you look good on social media at all times. We’ll work with you to figure out your goals and come up with a content strategy to help you get there. My specialty is working with anything and everything food and beverage related. Some of my favorite clients are restaurants, chef personalities, and food brands. What I’m most proud of as a brand is my attention to detail. Sure, you can find a cheap social media “agency” online to publish posts and manage your accounts, but like they always say, you get what you pay for. I take the time to analyze your business and your goals to create a specific plan tailored to you to help you reach those goals. My goal is to become an expert in not only your business but also your industry so I can position you as a thought leader on social media. What sets me apart from others is my creativity. Similar to what I just mentioned, I take the time to create something special for you. When you work with me, you’re paying for an individualized approach to social media to help your business stand out against your competition. It takes a lot of time and effort to do social media ‘the right way’ and I love being able to offer this to small businesses that wouldn’t normally have the time or personnel to accomplish this. The biggest challenge I’ve faced in growing my business is having confidence in myself and knowing my worth. I am a seasoned veteran in my field and my rates should reflect that. I have found that connecting with other women working in the digital marketing world has helped me gain the confidence, knowledge, and self-worth to overcome this feeling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’re definitely going on a hike or two to soak up some cool mountain air. If we’re going for a quick and easy hike I’ll take them to St. Mary’s Glacier. If we’re looking for a little more of a challenge and spectacular views we’ll hike one of my favorites— Mount Flora. After hiking we’ll need to refuel. I love Mexican food and Denver has no shortage of amazing options. My favorite downtown spot is D’Corazon for their green chile. Tres Chiles on Tennyson is another solid spot for tacos and margaritas. Here are some other spots we’ll be hitting up: Pizza: Hops & Pie Ice Cream: High Point Creamery (Cookies (3 ways) & Cream + Mint Chocolate Bark) Coffee: Huckleberry Roasters Brewery: Zuni Street Brewing Wine: Bigsby’s Folly Lunch: Vital Root Breakfast: Acai bowls from Prosperoats And you can’t come to Denver without catching a show at Red Rocks. You’re guaranteed to have a great time no matter who’s playing. Denver has so many great parks and trail systems to take advantage of. We’ll definitely go for a bike ride along the cherry creek trail and find a park to watch the sun set over the mountains.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Gosh, so many people to give credit to! First, my husband Noah deserves some major credit for giving me the initial idea and encouragement to start my own business several years ago. I’m so grateful for him giving me that boost of confidence to kick things off and his constant support along the way. I’d also like to give a huge shoutout to my journalism professors at Florida A&M University. They did an incredible job of always keeping us challenged and preparing us for “real” life after college. Thanks to them, I’m not afraid of what the future holds because I know I’ll be able to handle it. And I can’t give shoutouts without thanking my amazing clients. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to strengthen and grow your brand with social media. Without you, Rosey Social wouldn’t exist!.
