Meet Coralynn Mooney | Founder | Brand Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Coralynn Mooney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Coralynn, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always believed that the way we present our work shapes the way it’s valued. Early in my career, I saw too many incredible women building businesses that didn’t visually reflect the quality, expertise, or vision behind them. They were doing the hard work but settling for generic branding and forgettable online spaces.
Starting my own business was about changing that — creating a place where brand refinement and creative direction meet at a higher standard. With The Ashford Studio, I wanted to help established founders transform their brands into designer-level digital experiences that truly match the substance of their work.
At its core, my decision came from wanting to build something I couldn’t find: a business that blends strategy and aesthetics in a way that’s timeless, intentional, and built to last.

What should our readers know about your business?
The Ashford Studio is where established brands go to be elevated to an editorial standard. We don’t build from scratch — we transform what already exists into something refined, distinctive, and visually unforgettable. My work blends brand refinement, creative direction, and strategic storytelling so that a brand’s online presence reflects the true caliber of the business behind it.
What sets us apart is the belief that aesthetics are not a surface detail — they’re a strategic asset. Too often, brands are rich in substance but poor in presentation. I help close that gap, creating digital experiences that feel timeless, intentional, and worthy of the work they represent.
Getting here wasn’t easy. Like most founders, I learned quickly that entrepreneurship is less about a perfect plan and more about resilience, clarity, and the willingness to adapt. I’ve faced moments where the vision felt too big, the resources too small, and the path unclear. What kept me moving was the conviction that there’s a place for businesses that reject the “quick and easy” approach in favor of building something lasting.
I’m most proud of the women I’ve been able to work with — founders who are deeply committed to their craft and ready to take their brands to a level that matches their expertise. The biggest lesson I’ve learned? Quality is remembered. Trends fade, but when you build with intention, your brand becomes part of a longer story.
What I want the world to know about The Ashford Studio — and about me — is that we believe in making brands as exceptional on the outside as they are at their core. And that process, while challenging, is worth every step.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d plan it around beautiful spaces, great food, and a pace that feels both restorative and inspiring.
We’d start most mornings slow — one day with coffee at Aviano in Cherry Creek (the Detroit Street location has the best energy), another with a visit to a hidden bakery that locals swear by (if you know a good one let me know). On Sunday, we’d head to the Parker Farmers Market to browse fresh produce, artisan goods, and flowers, letting the morning unfold without a schedule.
Days would be a mix of inspiration and ease — exploring local boutiques for unique finds, visiting a gallery or museum, and taking scenic walks through historic neighborhoods with architecture worth admiring.
Evenings would be all about atmosphere. We’d have dinner at Sushi Den one night, and another evening at Forget Me Not in Cherry Creek for patio happy hour and girl dinner, watching the world go by. At least once, we’d skip going out entirely and have a homemade pizza night at home, followed by fireside conversations that last late into the night.
It wouldn’t be about packing every minute with activities, but about curating moments — the kind you actually remember. My favorite places aren’t always the flashiest; they’re the ones layered with history, creativity, and intention.”
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Drea Saulig | Founder of The Sugar Rest Mama
We were brought together by unexpected forces, we both delivered our first child at the same hospital on the same day just hours apart, and did not know it until we went to the hospital lead mom group. We quickly realized we had much more then this in common. Our drive to be female founders and entrepreneurs bonded us together for life! She is who pushed me to step back from building brands and pivot into branding them.
