Meet Heath Heine | Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Heath Heine and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Heath, what do you attribute your success to?
In a word Relationship. Any and all business is built upon good relationship, Acting is no different. Well it’s called networking but it still comes down to the golden rule; Treat others how you wish to be treated.
But I’d like to stress that it’s very important to command respect by setting boundaries for yourself and others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a character actor in the vein of Daniel Day-Lewis, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy. These are my self appointed examples to follow when transforming into a character role. As well as Jim Carrey and the late great Robin Williams. My greatest achievements in acting have simply been the reward of playing Donald Trump created by Kevin Ward in Milko Davis’ Jurassic Thunder, the leading role of Satan created by Kevon Ward in the hit series Bored as Hell.
I feel that I was able to get to this position as an actor by navigating the local Colorado independent film industry, starting with a single audition at the Colorado film school.
Obviously there are many people to thank along my journey, just know that colloquial phrases like “practice makes perfect” really do apply in all walks of life. Ecc 9:10 “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
I’d like to state that dedicating yourself to the film industry is not for the faint of heart. One of my earliest encounters/challenges to overcome was in high school when I was told by my theater coach “this isn’t for me” so I left that class and got a hi-8 camcorder and began making skits with my friends.
Adversity is a good thing for the right person, it become fuel to stoke the fire of passion. (A special thank you to my highschool acting coach).
Other lessons I’ve learned along the way are be patient, carefully consider your next move. For instance early on I’d accept any role offered and try out for every role I could. Then I learned to attend screenings at film festivals and seek out the directors of the films I want to be in, only to tell them how much I loved their film and ask them what their working on next and may I have the lead role..
Remember:
“A gift softens the heart”
“Ask and you shall receive”
Know thyself well to be a great actor.
Or learn to know thyself well through acting.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my friends visit, I live to take them to some of our state parks. Chatfield or Cherry Creek. A little secret is union reservoir in Longmont. Where we can kyak, paddle board, sit on the lakeside beach. I also take them downtown Denver to ride in a horse drawn carriage, there no better way to view 16th street mall and all the light of Larimer street.
We’d catch a concert at Red Rocks amphitheater and go for a mountian drive to see some buffalo in genesee while on the way to lookout mountian.
Some of my favorite restaurants are PhoDuy on federal, Wild Ginger on south Broadway and for my vegan friends we’d go to City o City, grab some voodoo donuts and drive just north of Denver through Rino district to get to Broken Shovels Farm Sanctuary, where they’d meet my wife and all the rescued animals.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank Hank Braxtan the director that gave me my first leading role in a little 8mm movie called “Indie Film Adventures” (2005). Not only did this film help me in finding and marrying the love of my life, but this film experience is solely for my continued success in independent film today. I thank God for that fateful day where I met Hank, we still work in film to this day.
