We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Hans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Yes, keep going! Obstacles exist to make you stronger and help you get further. When you give up, it’s like rearranging the furniture on a sinking ship and avoiding responsibility for saving yourself. You get what you seek when you work through the challenges that pop up on the way there.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is personal transformation and helping others with theirs, so they can be successful in a changing world. I’m a licensed clinical social worker & psychotherapist, certified in anxiety treatment and holistic healing. My training is in relationship attachments, and I’m working on my Ph.D. in Ethical & Creative Leadership. Difficulty is painful but personal growth and creativity are the outcroppings and my passions. I’m a regular TV expert guest, working towards national media goals where I can combine my skills and passions. I got where I am today by overcoming obstacles that led to a greater sense of purpose and confidence, and by keeping my dreams big. It’s taken focus and commitment; every day is ground zero to me, but dreams do come true, one step at a time. The inner transformation is what leads to circumstantial change and wishes fulfilled. What I most want people to know is that they are valuable and not meant simply to dream, but to bring their visions into physical reality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a Colorado native and long-time Boulder resident, I suggest they visit Boulder for its beauty, and happy, healthy vibe. Enjoy a delicious farm-to-table meal & unique potions at Shine Restaurant. In Denver, the world’s best Mexican Restaurant, Tacos Jalisco, has homemade tortillas and award-winning best chips and sauces. I’d show them around Lo-Do, Larimer Square, and Cherry Creek. We’d head to the mountains (Breckenridge, Aspen, and/or Rocky Mountain National Park) and stop at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Visitors often comment on the friendliness of Coloradans and I am proud to call it my native state!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I count my blessings that there are too many shoutouts to name, but Barbara Abel and Jen Marnowski are outstanding friends, colleagues, and transformational leaders. I adore working with positive and powerful women! Thank you!!
