We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Ingram and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
To spotlight the people in careers that sacrifice everyday. Those careers are fire fighters, nurses, Emt’s, police officers, paramedics and teachers. We need to see more of the real heroes and their lives. So I thought what is one common thread for most of these amazing people, Coffee! This started the journey of Courageous Blend Coffee.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Professionally I am a realtor with Perry & Co. This keeps me busy but also I am incredibly blessed to have met the most amazing people. I have learned so much helping others get to their dream of owning a home. The struggles and difficulties of this job has taught me how to push forward with the coffee company and work through any problems. I have also learned how to stay organized and stay on task. Making a to do list every night for the next day and making sure those items are completed. This keeps me moving forward to my goals. I think having both jobs definitely keeps me busy but also I love the excitement of building something different and a business that helps others too!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would go to the Mountains stay in Breckenridge a night and horseback ride and hang out in the town. Next we would go down town Denver to enjoy the atmosphere. Starting with the comedy works and then a restaurant and a bar/club the Nativ. Last we might see a show at the theater. This would be a great weekend!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my family and friends. Starting with my husband Abbah. He is an amazing partner and support system. He keeps me grounded and also is always by my side supporting my dreams! Our children Cydnie, Jordyn, Alyssa and Dominic who have all helped with the business by going to all events and promoted the business on their own! This is truly a family business! Our family and friends who continue to order from us and promote the coffee and show up at events! I am so blessed to have this support and devotion to our coffee company.
