Meet Heather Jenkins | Medical Spa Owner & Pediatric Dentist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Heather Jenkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Heather, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I was raised with limited means, and from an early age, I learned the value of hard work and perseverance. I was taught that achieving what you want in life is possible through dedication and effort. Over time, however, my perspective has evolved. I now believe that working smarter, embracing innovation, and thinking creatively are just as critical—if not more so—than sheer effort.
I hold a deep belief in my own worthiness of success and take pride in my accomplishments. I am driven by a clear vision for the future, and I regularly evaluate whether my current actions align with that vision. If they do not, I adjust course without hesitation.
I’ve never viewed “no” as a final answer. Not in a confrontational way, but rather as a signal to pivot—to find a different approach, seek new collaborators, or uncover alternative solutions. I thrive on the creative dimension of problem-solving. I see challenges not as obstacles, but as opportunities—like puzzles to be solved—and I draw energy from engaging with them as a form of creative expression.

What should our readers know about your business?
I live in the Conifer area, and I noticed a clear gap in access to high-quality esthetic services nearby. With my extensive background in dentistry, anatomy, and esthetics, I made the decision to open a clinic that could serve the needs of my local community. The response has been overwhelmingly positive – residents are excited to have access to these services without the need to travel down the hill. Supporting and keeping business local is something I’m deeply passionate about, and I’m proud to contribute in a meaningful way.
After years in dentistry, I found myself feeling unfulfilled. I still enjoyed aspects of my profession but wanted a change. I’ve come to believe that meaningful change happens when the discomfort of staying the same becomes greater than the fear of the unknown. While the decision to shift careers was intimidating, I didn’t want to look back with regret for not having taken a chance.
The traditional model of working one job until retirement with a pension has evolved. Today, many people stay in unfulfilling roles simply because that was the societal norm. For me, the idea of remaining in a situation I had the power to change was unacceptable. I realized that personal growth often comes from stepping into discomfort—and it was in that space that I began to find a renewed sense of purpose.
Opening Elevated Wellness & Aesthetics was far from easy. I spent countless hours researching, seeking guidance, and ensuring the path I was taking aligned with both my values and long-term vision. I was at a stable point in my life, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have moments of doubt—especially during the quiet hours of the night. But each time, I returned to a sense of clarity: my actions were aligned with the future I envisioned for myself.
This journey has taught me a great deal about resilience, purpose, and community. I’ve been fortunate to receive incredible support from fellow women in business, the local chamber of commerce, and friends. What’s become abundantly clear is that people genuinely want others to succeed—and that kindness and encouragement are alive and well in our community.
Elevated Wellness & Aesthetics is more than just a clinic—it’s a place where individuals can have open, honest conversations about how they want to feel and present themselves. Aging is universal, and we all have aspects of ourselves we may wish to improve. I don’t subscribe to every societal expectation around aging, but I do believe in helping people feel confident and empowered. Whether it’s addressing a single wrinkle or working toward broader wellness goals, I’m here to support individuals on their personal journeys to self-care and self-confidence.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would begin with a day in Conifer, starting with a coffee and beautiful pastries at the Wicked Whisk before heading out for a scenic hike at Staunton State Park to fully immerse myself in the natural beauty of the area. In the evening, I’d unwind with live music and a casual meal at Snowpack Taproom, enjoying the local atmosphere and conversation.
High on my travel wish list is spending a few days in Estes Park—a destination I’ve yet to fully explore and appreciate.
I’m also planning to take a multi-day camping and rafting tour along the Arkansas River, an adventure I’m excited to add to future itineraries.
To top it all off, I would savor some relaxing time with friends at Dunton Hot Springs—the perfect retreat to recharge after a busy week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to recognize my older sister, Jessica. She has been a constant presence throughout my life and shares a deep understanding of where we’ve come from and the journey we’ve taken. Her wisdom, honesty, and unwavering support have been invaluable—whether offering encouragement, providing grounded perspective, or even helping me make better fashion choices. She knows me deeply, both at my best and in my ugly moments, and continues to stand by me with unconditional support.
