We had the good fortune of connecting with HollyAnn Bruns and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi HollyAnn, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I’m a big believer in doing things before you feel completely ready. I wouldn’t be where I am without taking risks. Eight years in, I’m still making bold moves that many in my industry would shy away from, and I think that’s part of why my business has grown the way it has. I reinvest a large percentage of our revenue back into the company and trust myself to take the leap on growth moves before everything feels perfectly lined up. Risk, for me, has always been the catalyst for momentum.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Wild Hare Floral Co. has always been about more than flowers — it’s about creating beauty with soul, designing moments that feel alive, and building meaningful connections along the way.

I didn’t get here because it was easy. Entrepreneurship requires a certain kind of crazy — an ability to take risks, to sit in discomfort, and to grow through the mess. Over the years, I’ve learned to trust myself, delegate, and lead with both creativity and heart. Every challenge has shaped me into someone braver and more grounded, and I carry those lessons into the work I create.

Our brand is best described as whimsical with an edge. We have fun, we take risks, and we bring an editorial eye to weddings — but underneath it all, we care deeply about connection. For me, success isn’t just about beautiful designs. It’s about honoring our couples’ stories, showing up for our team, and proving that you can build an abundant life as an artist when you lead with vision and heart.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh, I love this question. I’m big on dressing up and going out to dinner, so I’d start with sushi at Uchi and a night out. One evening we’d get tickets to the ballet at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. We’d probably sneak in a Red Rocks morning workout too, just to soak in the view (and justify more sushi later). I’d take them to my favorite flea market for a day of treasure hunting, and of course we’d book manis and pedis at Nail Touch 32 — they truly have the best service in Denver. For drinks, I love Run for the Roses for its playful, vintage vibe. And no trip would be complete without wandering the Denver Botanic Gardens.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Jillian Marie Events has been both a trusted partner and a dear friend. Over the past two years, we’ve collaborated on some truly special weddings and editorial shoots and grown alongside each other in this industry. I’m deeply grateful for her creativity, professionalism, and the partnership we’ve built.
