We had the good fortune of connecting with Hudson Bratt and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hudson, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
6ix Speed Media’s Slogan is
‘Chase The Dream – Take The Risk – Become Legendary’

I stand true with that and believe anyone can do anything if you put your mind to it and work hard enough. The comfort zone will kill you if you stay in it long enough so sometimes we all just have to take that risk we have been pushing off and allow the new opportunities and challenges to come our way. I heard one time, chase the dream because the dream won’t chase you back and it forever stuck with me. We all have a short life with lots of dreams and ambitions but most fail to take the risk and miss out on becoming the legendary person they dreamed of. What ever avenue or direction in life you want to take, do it and do it to your fullest potential. This life is yours and yours to create. Chase the dream, take the risk and become legendary.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is Photography and Videography, 6ix Speed Media specializes in Automotive, Real Estate and Commercial. As the owner of 6ix Speed Media I believe I am able to stand apart from the rest because of my skill to be able to create and tell a story through a photo or a short film. From the jump I have always loved being able to capture a moment in time and later be able to let it tell its story.

I think for me I am most proud of being a small business owner at the young age of 23 and being able to say I did it all on my own, I picked up a camera back in middle school and continued to teach myself anything and everything I could to get myself to this point. It took a village of support on my back but my hard work and dedication has led me to this spot, that is something I know I will look back on in 40 years and still feel as proud as I do now.

I got to where I am now with a lot of hard work and dedication into knowing the dream I had was attainable if I worked hard enough. I have gone a lot of different avenue within this journey but I always new from a young kid that my dream was to own my own media company. I always set out to do anything I could to learn new skills or continue to improve the ones I already knew. From going to every car event I could growing up, shooting media of friends and family to even doing some sports. I knew I had a gift with the camera I just had to stay dedicated to it. As years went on I found my calling within the automotive world and that’s where I set out to grow the most I could. I took a media job at Storm Mountain Motors and used that as another opportunity to grow my skills and passion. I later started up 6ix Speed Media and grew my roots into the Automotive scene, real estate and commercial business world. As far as the future for 6ix Speed Media I am most excited about growing my cliental nationwide as well as working to get booked for events such as Vail Concourse and Cars, SEMA, Corsa Rally, RockyBahn, PeakedCO, and many more. It has not been easy to get to where I am at now but I don’t believe anything good comes easy so I was willing to have some sacrifices within the journey to take myself to my full potential. From taking a leap of faith and leaving a full time paycheck to start this business, to lack of free time trying to network or create content, to countless no’s when trying to reach new clients are all apart of the challenges in a small business but I truly believe each one has been a lesson as well as moment of growth. The hard times that have taken place I know have later been stepping stones to get me to the point I am now.

The biggest lesson I have learned along the way is the only competition is yourself, you have to believe in your work and believe in your skills or you will continue to hold yourself back. I will say it is a lesson I continue to learn as I grow my business, having a small business is constant roller coaster of good months and bad months. It learning how to not hold yourself back through the harder months and find a way on how to pivot to get back rolling on a high note. Learning you are the only one that can let the business win or fail, there are many things that play a role into the business but in the end of it all if I don’t put the work in I won’t ever see it grow. It truly is a matter of confidence in your abilities to succeed as well as the drive and want you have behind that success, and only you can stop that or excel it.

6ix Speed Media is a young owner small business out of Northern Colorado built off of ambition and drive to create the greatest media work. As the owner my main goal has always been to create media and let it tell a story to the viewer. I hold true with that by always discussing the vision with the client I am working with and gathering as many ideas as possible to later combine them into the work I produce. I strive to learn and grow to keep 6ix Speed Media running at its fullest potential as well as allowing my cliental the best experience when working with me. There is so much we can all learn from each other and I strive to use 6ix Speed Media to learn as much as I can from other creators, clients, and/or other small business owners to grow not only myself but most importantly 6ix Speed Media. One thing I would want everyone to keep in mind is the slogan of 6ix Speed Media “Chase the Dream, Take the Risk, Become Legendary” anyone can do it, if you put your mind to it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The top place I would take them is a cruise up to Estes Park to see the beautiful views of Colorado as as well as the experience the small town provides. I would also take them on a super car cruise held by a few of my friends, we always find the coolest mountain towns and mountain canyons to cruise through. The super car cruises are an absolute blast every time I am apart of one and it also is one of my favorite times to create automotive media.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to recognize my friends for their countless support and confidence for me while I am going through this journey. From letting me practice my media skills with them for over 6 years to always pushing me to take the next step. I also want to recognize the handful of entrepreneurs that have showed me how to pave my path in the small business world within the past year. I would not be where I am at today without their positive attitudes, encouraging behaviors and endless support towards me as a person and the path I am taking in life. They all continuously play a major role in my life and journey and I will forever be grateful for the bonds I have created with each one of them.

The two creators I want to shoutout that have played a huge role in my media creation and small business journey would be Tristan Christensen aka ShokanVisuals as well as Ben Hargreaves aka LifeThroughOptics. Both are amazing media creators within the automotive world and never fail to inspire me to keep working hard to grow my skills to the highest degree.
