We had the good fortune of connecting with Icon John and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Icon, every day, we talk about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
There is a mental health crisis right now. Self love is the answer. If you take a look at the mental health of the United States as a whole, we are all suffering. These last couple of years have been filled with many trials and tribulations, many people lost their jobs, and some lost family members as a result of the pandemic. I have seen a problem in the world and started using my gift to be the solution.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a full time life coach and founder of the Iconic Academy. Many people know deep down what they should be doing in order to move forward towards their goals, they just need that next level of accountability. My job as a life coach is to help clients live deliberately and with intention, move past self-limiting beliefs, and create a new reality for themselves. As a direct result of this alliance my clients experience many benefits in their lives including: higher degree of self-love, increased self-confidence, and improved consistency and momentum. Clients also gain clarity and are able to focus better on their personal growth. The Iconic Academy was founded in 2021, with the intention of changing the world one mind at a time. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I enjoy being outdoors. And Colorado is one of the most scenic states I have been in. I suggest a nice hike in Boulder, CO. Nature provides a lot of answers to many problems we face today. So pretty much anything outdoorsy is the best thing to do. So things like hiking, camping, white water rafting, you know… the usual.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost I have to thank God. I have to thank God for giving me the strength and courage to not give up when faced with adversity. I have to thank God for giving me the ambition to put in the work, even on those days I felt like giving up. I have to thank life itself for giving me the life experiences I needed to illuminate the minds of others. But I would like to send a special shout out to the ICONIC TRIBE.
