We had the good fortune of connecting with Idrissa Diallo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Idrissa, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
When I hear the words give up it kind of pisses me off because I am a stubborn person who won’t stop until I can prove you wrong. So to this question how to know when to give up or when to keep going all I can say is keep going even when you hit a road block keep going fins that detour that propels you forward and one step closer to your goal. Even with how crazy covid is going I still kept the grind going and waited for the opportunity to come back big and show myself and everyone don’t stop ever!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The business is an event promoting/throwing company. We throw huge college parties as well as any major holiday event covering Denver to Northern Colorado. The thing I am most proud about is being able to say I run a successful business and it wasn’t just a one and done thing, we all have doubters but they can keep doubting while we keep winning! Easy? Never that, nothing ever comes easy and I had to go out and grind with the team and make so many sacrifices just to start with one small event venue in which we hit max capacity and started to deny people entrance. There are so many challenges when it comes to business and as I go along learning the process I have had ups and downs, although the ups outweigh the downs significantly whenever something isnt up to the bar I set for myself I take it very harshly and make sure I research and plan.the next thing to be bigger and better. What the world should know about me is I wont stop until I am at the top and then I will raise that ceiling a few level and what I want people.to know about Chosen Kings is we bring the party no matter where or when, we always give a good time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a best friend come visit me for an entire week, when it comes to food, I don’t eat out much, so I only know of a few places such as Snooze or the Urban Egg for breakfast or brunch and I think Yard house, View House, or Benihana are some nice spots for lunch or dinner. I wouldn’t mind trying out some new restaurants though just for the sake of my friend being here. For places we’d visit/hangout, I’d probably go to Red Rocks, the Incline, tubing in Golden, or to keep it simple might just go to the park with some of my other friends here and play some active sport such as soccer. When it comes to the night life, we’d most definitely link with the whole crew, go to either Beta or Drinks downtown and probably go to Highlands Hookah lounge afterwards. So, nothing too crazy, but you get a little bit of everything!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to Mandeep! That man is a person who I can truly depend for literally anything at anytime. I believe we have the type of relationship that everybody should have, but is so rare nowadays! We learn from each other, we understand each other, we trust each other and always push each other to reach our greater selves regardless of what it takes. That’s is my brother for life and I’m very grateful.
