Meet Jana Angelo

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jana Angelo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting FortyONE Creatives came from a place of reflection, purpose, and a desire to build something meaningful.
It all began during a challenging season where a lot in my life felt uncertain. Instead of rushing into the next thing, I paused. I took time to listen, to think deeply about what mattered, not just to me, but to the people and brands I wanted to serve. That’s when the idea for FortyONE Creatives started taking shape.
I saw a gap so many businesses had great products or missions, but struggled to communicate their message in a way that felt clear, intentional, and aligned with their values. I wanted to build a creative agency that did more than deliver trendy visuals. I wanted to help brands tell their story with heart, strategy, and meaning.
The name “FortyONE” isn’t just a label. It represents that pivotal moment after the hard work, when everything begins to come together—the breakthrough. It’s about turning a page, stepping into what’s next, and launching with confidence. That idea resonated deeply with me and became the foundation of the brand.
Today, FortyONE Creatives exists to help entrepreneurs, businesses, and mission-driven projects bring their vision to life through bold branding, intentional design, and clear messaging. We don’t just create—we collaborate. We get to the heart of the story, and we build from there.
Because great branding isn’t just about how things look, it’s about how they make people feel. And we’re here to make sure that feeling is unforgettable.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The story behind my art, business, and career is deeply rooted in faith, resilience, and the belief that creativity is a calling, not just a skill. I’ve always been drawn to storytelling, whether through visuals, words, or strategy. But for a long time, I didn’t know how to connect that passion to purpose in a way that felt both creatively fulfilling and spiritually aligned.
What sets my work apart is intentionality and its purpose. At FortyONE Creatives, we don’t just create brands—we help people step into who they were designed to be. Everything we build is infused with meaning. From the colors we choose to the copy we craft, it’s about more than aesthetics—it’s about alignment. We meet clients in their “Day 40” moments—when they’re unsure, pivoting, or rebuilding—and help guide them toward their “Day 41”: clarity, confidence, and forward movement.
I’m most proud of the fact that our work doesn’t just look good—it transforms. We’ve helped founders rediscover their voice, businesses reconnect with their mission, and creatives find new language for what they’re called to do. And that’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
Was it easy getting here? Not at all. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced seasons of self-doubt, burnout, and breakdowns—personally and professionally. Establishing FortyONE during my rock bottom felt impossible, but remembering that this isn’t just business, but instead a “calling.” I’ve had to learn how to rebuild from a place of surrender, to lead without striving, and to stay rooted in values when everything else felt uncertain. The biggest challenge has been giving myself permission to evolve and letting go of the idea that success needs to look a certain way.
That said, I’m so grateful. Grateful to be better in so many ways: emotionally, creatively, spiritually, and professionally. And I’m taking full advantage of every skill I’ve been given—every lesson, every talent, every tool—to build something meaningful. I’m using that growth to craft a brand that reflects not just what I do, but who I’ve become.
Along the way, I’ve learned that clarity comes from obedience, not perfection. I’ve learned that strategy means nothing without soul. And I’ve learned that the right team, the right message, and the right mission are all connected to a deeper “why.”
What I want the world to know is this: my brand isn’t just about creative services. It’s about transformation. It’s about helping people see themselves—and their business—with fresh eyes. FortyONE is built on the belief that a breakthrough is possible, that stories matter, and that when faith and creativity work together, lives change.
That’s the heart behind everything I do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My Dream Week with a Best Friends in Colorado
(Spoiler: there will be coffee, mountains, and probably a spontaneous road trip.)
If my best friends from the Philippines were visiting Colorado for the week, I wouldn’t just show them around—I’d give them a whole experience. The kind where you laugh too hard, take way too many sunset photos, and leave feeling more alive than you did when you landed.
Here’s how that week would unfold:
Day 1: Welcome to Altitude & Aesthetic Vibes
Start soft. We’d check into a cozy boutique stay like The Ramble Hotel in RiNo—artsy, elegant, and walking distance to everywhere worth wandering. Then we’d ease into the elevation with breakfast at Snooze (the pineapple upside-down pancakes are a spiritual experience), followed by a mural walk through RiNo’s vibrant street art district. Think: creativity overload with a side of lavender lattes from Crema.
Evening: Catch golden hour at Red Rocks, just to remind them they’re not in Kansas anymore. Even if there’s no concert, that view deserves a slow clap.
Day 2: Mountains, Mindfulness & Main Street Magic
We’d head west to Boulder for a hike up Chautauqua—easy enough to talk through, scenic enough to cry about. Afterward, a hearty brunch at The Buff (trust me, order the Saddlebag Pancakes and a mimosa flight) before wandering Pearl Street for local shops, live buskers, and unexpected finds.
Evening: Slow it down with an intimate dinner at Brasserie Ten Ten, then late-night journaling or stargazing (depending on how soul-searchy we’re feeling).
Day 3: Hot Springs & Highway Therapy
Time for a little road trip! We’d drive through Glenwood Canyon—windows down, playlist up—to Iron Mountain Hot Springs. Nothing like soaking in geothermally-heated bliss while the river flows beside you and snow-capped peaks smile overhead.
Dinner: Casual and cozy in Glenwood Springs—probably The Pullman—before crashing at a charming mountain inn where everything smells like pine and possibility.
Day 4: Small-Town Soul in Manitou Springs
Next stop: Manitou Springs. This quirky little town near Colorado Springs has vintage shops, mineral springs, and a whimsical, “lost in time” vibe. We’d take the Incline (if we’re feeling brave) or just stroll the town and sip from the mineral fountains like mystical wellness queens.
Evening: Dinner at Shuga’s in Colorado Springs—funky, flavorful, and full of character.
Day 5: Faith, Art & the Garden of the Gods
We’d spend the morning walking Garden of the Gods—free, jaw-dropping, and as majestic as it sounds. Then swing by the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona (just kidding, it feels like Sedona here), and maybe grab inspiration for something faith-centered and creative.
Dinner: Back to Denver for Root Down—because farm-to-table with a side of ambiance is always a good idea.
Day 6: Creative Recharge + Coffee Crawl
A slower day—think creative recharge. We’d hop between coffee shops like The Molecule Effect, Little Finch, and Hello Darling, laptops in tow, plotting our next big thing or vision board. Maybe even a spontaneous workshop or gallery pop-in.
Evening: Girls’ night at Linger, with rooftop views and flavors from around the globe. Dessert? Heaven Creamery.
Day 7: Full-Circle Moment
We’d end with brunch at El Five, perched high with panoramic views, reflecting on the week, the breakthroughs, the belly laughs. Then a quick stop at Tattered Cover to buy matching books—because souvenirs should feed your soul.
Send-off moment: a final drive through Lookout Mountain, windows down, hearts full, music loud. The kind of ending that feels like the beginning of something.
Colorado Isn’t Just a Place—It’s a Mood
What makes Colorado special isn’t just the scenery—it’s the soul. It’s a place that invites you to breathe deeper, dream bigger, and be a little braver. From mountaintop stillness to vibrant creative energy, it holds space for both rest and revelation.
And sharing that with a best friend? That’s the magic.
I’ll put a caption for my Instagram: ” City streets to mountain peaks. My Colorado, you’ve got layers, and I’m living for it.”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

From Breakdown to Breakthrough: Why We Build with Purpose
If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a founder, it’s this: transformation doesn’t happen at the peak—it happens in the process. It happens in the wilderness seasons, when things are unclear, momentum slows, and your vision gets tested.
That’s where Day 41 lives.
And that’s the space we hold at FortyONE Creatives.
We’re not just here to build brands. We walk with visionaries through the hard, holy work of redefining who they are—and what they’re building. Because purpose doesn’t come pre-packaged. It’s revealed in the refining.
That’s what makes our work different. Yes, we bring strategy, design, and content. But more than that, we bring alignment. We serve as creative partners for people navigating their own Day 40—when the wilderness is long and the breakthrough feels distant.
Our ethos is clear:
“Crafting Your Vision. Designing Your Future. Inspired by Faith. Designed with Purpose.”
And we mean every word.
From the watercolor in our logo—symbolizing surrender and spiritual transformation—to the way we structure every project, we’re intentional about infusing meaning into every touchpoint. Because your brand isn’t just a message. It’s a mandate.
What I’ve Witnessed Firsthand
Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when purpose-driven leaders finally feel seen, heard, and supported. The shift is immediate. They go from second-guessing to stewarding. From scattered to clear. From burnout to breakthrough.
Our role is not just to deliver assets—it’s to activate alignment.
And that’s only possible when you lead from your values. When you treat brand-building as a process of becoming, not just a checklist of deliverables.
The Ripple Effect of Purpose
I didn’t build FortyONE Creatives to chase trends. I built it to serve people walking through a tension I knew too well:
“I have something powerful to offer—but I don’t know how to bring it to life with clarity or confidence.”
We meet people in that space. With faith-fueled creativity. With a design that reflects their identity. With a strategy rooted in truth.
And the result? Brands that aren’t just beautiful. They’re becoming.
For the Founder Reading This
If you’re in a season of uncertainty or transition, this is your reminder:
You’re not behind. You’re being prepared.
You don’t need more noise. You need alignment.
You don’t need to prove your worth. You need to own your why.
That’s where real momentum begins.
And when you’re ready to build from that place of clarity and conviction, we’ll be right here.
This is what Day 41 looks like.
And it’s just the beginning.
