We had the good fortune of connecting with Jared Bunn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jared, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Emberlight Media, we believe moments matter. Life is not remembered in years or milestones alone, but in fleeting expressions, quiet glances, laughter, and emotion — the small instances that define our humanity. Our role is to preserve those moments so they are never lost to time.

While we are entrusted with documenting personal milestones, the impact extends beyond the individuals in front of our cameras. We act as modern-day historians, capturing real human experiences that would otherwise fade. These stories become heirlooms for families and lasting cultural records that allow future generations to understand where they came from and who loved them.

We also serve our community by reducing stress during high-stakes life moments. Peace of mind changes how someone experiences one of the most meaningful days of their life — allowing them to live in the moment while we safeguard it. Events like weddings, memorials, and other once-in-a-lifetime celebrations can be emotionally overwhelming. Through calm collaboration and dependable documentation, we give people the freedom to be fully present with those around them instead of worrying about preserving it themselves.

In a fast-moving digital world where experiences can feel temporary, we create intentional records meant to endure. Families revisit these records during anniversaries, children meet relatives they never knew, and loved ones continue to speak through the memories we capture.

Through storytelling, emotional stewardship, and the belief that moments deserve permanence, Emberlight Media keeps memories alive forever — strengthening families, preserving histories, and deepening human connection one story and shot at a time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My journey began in the United States Air Force, where I served as a military media and public affairs specialist. During that time, I discovered a deep passion for photography and videography — one that carried me through challenges and ultimately led to achievements I’m incredibly proud of, along with a portfolio that caught the attention of Westfall Gold, a nonprofit event production organization.

While working with their team, I had the opportunity to travel the world capturing stories of genuine human transformation. After an amazing year there, I began the next chapter of my career, starting at a company then known as All Digital Photo and Video. This past year has been especially meaningful — full of challenges that required me to either sink or rise, and with a positive mindset, we continued to rise.

That growth led me to my current role as Lead of Wedding Sales, where I’m able to guide couples toward the services that best fit their vision, drawing from my hands-on experience shooting weddings and events. Just as importantly, I get to advocate for the incredibly talented creative team I’m fortunate to work alongside.

I truly believe that when you approach life with a positive attitude and a song in your heart, there’s nothing you can’t overcome — only opportunities to grow as you vibe and thrive.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting Denver for a week, I’d want them to experience the city the way locals truly enjoy it — incredible food, good energy, and scenery you just can’t find anywhere else.

We’d start the day with brunch at Bacon Social House or Syrup, the perfect introduction to Denver’s brunch culture. Great coffee, indulgent comfort food, and a lively atmosphere make it an easy way to settle into the rhythm of the city.

Afterward, we’d head to Washington Park to walk the loop around the lake or rent bikes and enjoy the sunshine. It’s one of the best places to understand how Denver lives — relaxed, active, and outdoors as much as possible.

For lunch, we’d go to Linger for globally inspired dishes and rooftop views, then walk next door to Little Man Ice Cream for dessert — a fun, uniquely Denver experience and a great representation of the city’s creative food scene.

The afternoon would be spent exploring the RiNo Art District — wandering through murals, popping into galleries and small shops, and grabbing a casual drink along the way. It’s colorful, creative, and always changing, which makes it feel like the artistic heartbeat of the city.

Dinner would be Asian-inspired, somewhere like Uncle Ramen for bold flavors and a cozy, energetic atmosphere that sets the tone for the night ahead.

And then we’d finish the day the only way you truly can in Colorado: a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Watching live music surrounded by massive sandstone formations under the stars is an unmatched experience — the kind of night that turns a visit into a lifelong memory.

That day alone captures Denver perfectly: great food, movement, creativity, and unforgettable music all in one place.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout has to go to my mentor and best friend, Devin Scheer, owner of Emberlight Media—he exemplifies steadfast leadership, unbreakable dedication, and unwavering loyalty to both myself and the rest of his team as well as our valued clients. Since becoming owner 8 years ago, Devin has transformed the company from All Digital Photo and Video into the trusted, innovative brand it is today—while never losing sight of the people who make that success possible.
