We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Hanesworth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Pivot was founded in the beginning of the pandemic as the world began to shift to how, where, and why people chose to live, work, and play. Pivot was essentially our pivot from conventional building practices to flexible building solutions. I wanted to create a product that was quicker to market, built to the best standards in the industry, and flexible to fit the specific needs and desires of the customer. Pivot is also focused on becoming one of the best companies to work for and one that is engaged in giving back to our communities and those whom can achieve a better life using our structures.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Pivot Structures, LLC designs and builds modular structures intended to inspire and influence a great life. Our goal is to create the most innovative, efficient, and sustainable modular structures that everyone loves and has a purpose for. As an “alternative” structure builder, our products are designed to be “the alternative” to conventional construction. Pivot creates greater consumer value through its efficient production processes, focused quality controls, modular flexibility, and customizable design and beautiful finishes. Pivot has grown through the collective experience of its leadership and its commitment to be the best alternative structure company. With over 100 combined years of construction and building experience, our team is built to build better. While there are still many challenges to overcome as a young, growing business, our concerted focus on intelligent growth and expansion remains part of our fundamental business practices. Pivot, the brand, is being built to last and become as resilient, flexible, and desirable as one of our many structure products.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In NoCo, some of the places and activities we love to patron are; – Beers on the patio at Odell’s
– Breakfast at the Silver Grill
– Boating and Paddle Boarding at Horsetooth and Timnath Reservoir
– Golf at any of NoCo’s great courses
– Biking along the Poudre Trail
– Dinner and drinks at Sonny Lubicks Steak House
– Walk through CSU campus and the botanical gardens
– Take the kids to play at Silo or Martinez Park

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m grateful for those whom have supported all of my business and entrepreneurial efforts throughout my career. There are so many people that have helped shape me as a professional and have inspired me to do what I love, build great businesses with great people. I would be remised if I didn’t give gratitude to my family for their support in my entrepreneurial dreams, my business partners for their trust in my leadership, my professional mentors, and the Pivot Team for believing in what we are creating at Pivot.
