We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeff Libby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jeff, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Only give up if you no longer believe in your vision, and before you give up, always attempt to achieve your goals in another way. There’s no one wrong or right path to achieving your goals, so sometimes you need to reroute to get there.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
MiHi Entertainment is a full service photo/video booth company that specializes in creating an unforgettable experience for your guests. We provide themed photo booths and use cutting edge technology. We have gotten to where we are today with long hours, many failures, and the drive to succeed. I wouldn’t say our journey has been easy, but when you’re having so much fun doing it, it doesn’t feel hard. The biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is to not ignore the things that you’re dreading doing. Embrace them and overcome them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For food, we’d go to Lucille’s for breakfast, Look Hus Cooking food truck, and Tag to mention a few. We’d go to Westfax for beers, the Art Museum to check out the new exhibits and walk downtown to find new places that have popped up. In the evening we’d go to South Broadway and explore there. I don’t go out too much so every time I do, I am always finding new places that weren’t there before, so in a way I’d be learning just as much as they are.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to two very important people who have helped me see the light during the dark times of COVID-19 and its effects on our industry; Benjamin Fox with Matrix Events, and Devin Scheer with All Digital Photo and Video. Ben showed me the potential of virtual events and gave me opportunities to get involved with them. His support led me to start offering new, exciting products in the corporate realm. Devin helped me learn the ins and outs of live streaming and videography (something I’ve always wanted to learn) and is always available as a resource when I have questions.
