We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Vasu Skin Solutions, we believe in creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Vasu is a trusted and safe place for individuals who are transitioning, especially in the transgender community. We are often the starting point for someone’s transition journey as we begin with facial laser hair removal and then provide assistance with Gender Affirmation Surgery.

At Vasu, we create an atmosphere of trust, community, and peace. If you have unwanted hair, we confidently remove it even while working in embarrassing areas of the body.

What should our readers know about your business?
Vasu began fourteen years ago when I bought a laser for over $100,000 using my American Express card. Since then, we have focused on providing our clients with the best possible experience and treatments based on scientific research and proven knowledge. However, running a business is always challenging, and most days are consumed by addressing various issues. One of the biggest challenges I have faced is dealing with employees. Although I treat them like family and provide excellent working conditions, some have left to start their own medical spas and copied my ideas, consent forms, and even my color scheme. Others have left without notice, stolen thousands of dollars from me, and even filed for invalid unemployment insurance.

Despite all the difficulties, owning Vasu has also brought me immense joy. My manager Kate and I have been working together for eight years and love what we do. Our clients are lovely, kind, and appreciative, and we take pride in helping them achieve radiant, healthy, and natural-looking skin. Our mantra, “Dare to be Bare,” means daring to wake up and face the day without makeup. By transforming our clients’ skin, we also boost their confidence and radiance.

At Vasu, we treat our clients respectfully and listen to their needs. We care about them and strive to establish an exceptional level of trust. From the moment they enter our doors, they are greeted with a warm smile, pleasant aromas, and relaxing music, and they can leave their problems and worries outside. What happens at Vasu, stay at Vasu!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my closest friends visited me in Boulder, I would take them to Vasu and treat them to an expensive laser skin treatment and products!

Afterward, we would plan to go on multiple hikes, such as Sanitas (which is my favorite hike!), Royal Arch, Boulder Peak, and Green Mountain. One of my favorite activities is taking my friends and dogs hiking. After the hike, we would head to The Kitchen on Pearl Street for brunch, which is always fantastic! Walking around Pearl Street after a delicious brunch with champagne is always the best. My favorite store off of Pearl Street is La Sportiva, and we are lucky to have a large one in Boulder!

Later, we would hang out in my yard in Boulder and catch up. Living in Boulder is wonderful, and I feel incredibly grateful to own a home in my favorite place in the world. We would watch the sunset on the rooftop at Corrida in the evening. The view from there is incredible! Afterward, we would return to the house and host a dinner party with everyone, serving sushi, steaks, cocktails, and wine while spending the evening outside by the fireplace with music and laughter!
