We had the good fortune of connecting with Jesse Blum and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jesse, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?

H.M. Brown & Associates helps the community in many ways.

As part of every deal a portion goes to a fund that is used for charitable causes. In 2021 HM Brown donated to multiple organizations from a coat drive to providing food for families on Thanksgiving to the Veterans Administration.

The cause that is near and dear to me is the annual Furry Scurry benefiting the Dumb Friends League and their locations. They help dogs, cats, horses and other animals find new homes as well as health and rehabilitation. As a firm H.M. Brown raised $3467 to support this wonderful organization for the 2021 event.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

My path as an auto broker has been a roller coaster. There have been some downs yet many ups.

A huge takeaway is that I am always learning by overcoming challenges and constantly collaborating with fellow colleagues every day.

What sets me apart is I want to assist each of my clients to the best of my abilities professionally and ethically.

I was not thinking about sales for my career. Now I am over 10 years into my career as an auto broker and proud of what I have achieved and plan to continue on an upward trend.

I have learned to take everything one day at a time and appreciate the success I have had.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

In Denver I have always been a fan of City Park. If the visit was in the summer I’d take the friend to Jazz In the Park. It is a great way to relax and hang out while getting food from food trucks or bringing our own along with drinks of choice.

A great restaurant near City Park is OneFold. They have killer breakfast burritos with duck fat fried potatoes. Their green Chile is no slouch either. I’d recommend a Vietnamese coffee to wash everything down.

At night I’d take the friend to downtown and Union Station. There is so much to see there and would have a meal at Stoic & Genuine for their seafood and creative menu options.

I would definitely go to Red Rocks to show the amphitheater and hike around the area. It is great for shows depending on time friend was there.

For getting out of town I love Steamboat Springs. I’d recommend going to Strawberry Hot Springs and going to the mountain for hiking, biking or just riding the gondola to see the amazing views of the valley.

I definitely like showing off Colorado breweries and one of my favorites is Novel Strand in the Baker neighborhood. They have indoor and outdoor seating, several beers on tap as well as some of their creations bottled (sours are my go to).

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person I want to highlight is another broker in my firm Jay Titterington. As the top broker in our firm for multiple years I learned so much from him to best assist my clients. Jay is the ultimate professional. He listens to every client and their needs and is very efficient in all areas of our business. Jay helped me realize my potential and I went from an average broker to making the top 10 (of 45+ brokers) in 2021.
