We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessi Fowler and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessi, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from a small farming town in eastern Colorado. I am the oldest of 4 siblings. Growing up I was always taught to work hard, be independent, and strive for greatness. I think being the oldest, a lot was expected of me. I was given a lot of responsibility. All of that helped me in who I am today. I have always strived to do great. I can take on a lot at once and love hosting and being around people. I am very organized, with 5 kids I have to be! I am also very outgoing and love to talk to people.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always been the girl who stands out and takes some risks when it comes to my style. It’s my creative outlet. I had the best bangs in high school. I wore blue eyeshadow in middle school. I’m first a wife and a mom of 5 kiddos. But fashion allows me to tap into something personal and explore my passion. In doing so, I strive to help other women feel beautiful in who they are and even if they are wearing a pair of sweatpants. I think once we own who we are and love ourselves, that’s when our true beauty comes out and that’s inspiring to others.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Fort Collins, CO, we are not short on amazing restaurants and fun things to do. I would definitely take her to my favorite bar, the Social. It’s an underground speakeasy and the drinks, as well as the vibe is incredible. Seeing Horsetooth is a must-do as well. It’s breathtaking seeing God’s creation in our own backyard. Of course, we would have to visit the breweries. Odell’s is a favorite and they just opened up their winery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband. He’s always been supportive of my passions. Fashion has always been a part of me and to have this creative outlet is so fun and important for my soul. He always encourages me and supports my spending habits LOL!
