Meet Jessica Crow | Jessica Crow | Apogy Founder & Principal Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Crow and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Back in 2019, I found myself at a crossroads in my career. I was working for a large healthcare company and realized that I was no longer experiencing the personal and professional growth I desired. At the same time, my husband, who had embarked on his entrepreneurial journey a few years prior, was thriving. Watching his success ignited a spark within me. I began to question whether I, too, could venture into the world of entrepreneurship.
I had also started teaching yoga on the side, and this became a pivotal experience in my self-discovery. It opened my eyes to the misalignment between my core values and the values and culture of the environment in which I worked, and I started to put into action thoughts and plans to start my own business.
When I finally quit, I knew I wanted to create a company where values-driven leadership, personal growth, and positive change were not only encouraged but actively cultivated. From this space, Apogy was born.
Embarking on the entrepreneurial journey was a leap of faith, but I believe that positive change starts from within. My experiences in the corporate world and the yoga community shaped my vision for a company that not only facilitates organizational change but also fosters a culture of continuous learning, empathy, and authentic leadership. I’m excited about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as I navigate this new chapter in my career.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Apogy was founded on the premise that individual well-being is a key driver of organizational performance. I was entering a crowded, competitive market (change management training and certification) as a small fish in a big pond. I was excited that my program combined well-being, leadership coaching, and change management skills training. I focused on the whole person – not just the acquisition of information – in my teaching and coaching process. I understood through my corporate experience and yoga teaching that everything is connected; our inner state is reflected in how we think, act, and behave, and it’s important to tend to that side of ourselves if we want to be seen and followed as leaders of change.
Early on, building a client base and establishing credibility posed significant challenges as I was new to the space as a solo practitioner. However, each challenge became an opportunity for learning and growth. I’ve learned to trust myself, believe in my capabilities, and to be confident in the value I bring.
I want people to feel inspired to take big leaps and reclaim their sense of self and fulfillment. For too long, I avoided leaving my corporate job because it looked good on paper and I’d worked so hard to get to where I was at. But, I was burnt out and miserable. I ignored the misalignment of my values, feedback, and inner guidance for longer than I should have. While jumping was scary, the net certainly appeared. I feel great helping others develop inner strength and confidence, and to also “be the change they want to see in the world” – which includes the corporate world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Denver, some of our favorite places to go include the Stanley Marketplace and FlyteCo, which are close to where we live and kid-friendly. Depending on the time of year, the stock show, sports games, and Boulder for a quick hike. There are so many good places to eat, so I’ll stick with what’s close by since we tend to be homebodies these days. Annette, Bistro Vendome, Lucina, Bistro Barbes. Downtown has several great French restaurants, El Five, Senor Bear, really the food options are great these days!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Kristen Olson. She and I started meeting regularly and our weekly conversations helped me through the hard parts early in my journey.
