We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Hackney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Behind every successful woman is a tribe of other successful women who have her back”

I truly believe Hydrate would not be what it is today with out my AMAZING staff. Some of them have been with me even before we opened our doors in February of 2023. They are my rock and believe in my business just as much as I do.

We are a team and we all compliment each others strengths. I am so blessed to have my team at Hydrate IV Bar Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have been a Registered Nurse for over 18 years, and health and wellness have always been important to me. Through my love of helping people, specifically children, I spent most of my career as a Pediatric/Cardiac ICU and Oncology Nurse. After more than 15 years of working in hospitals as a Registered Nurse, Jessica found Hydrate IV Bar. Through fellow nurses, she was introduced to the business; first as a client and later as an employee.

While helping clients focus on their health and wellness through vitamin IV’s and injections, I found my true passion-promoting wellness from within as a Franchise Owner.

Hydrate IV Bar, founded in Denver, CO in 2016, offered the perfect opportunity for husband and I to venture into small business ownership. My 2 kids have become a huge part of growing the business and it has brought an amazing opportunity and experience for the whole family. My kids, even at the age of 3 and 5, are able to see how prevention and wellness play a huge role in your life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love the mountains and all of the scenery we have out our back doors.
Day 1- I would stay in Denver area and ride bikes down Platt River ending in RHINO for an amazing dinner and breweries.
Day 2- I would head to Rocky Mountain National Park and hike Emerald Lake. I would drive back and stay in Buena Vista and have dinner downtown at the Surf Hotel.
Day 3- White Water Raft in Beuna Vista
Day 4-6 Drive to Breckenridge/Vail and spend the next 2 days hanging in town, hiking, eating and drinking all the delicious beers
Day 7- Spend a couple hours exploring Garden of the Gods park and then head to airport.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love the book Atomic Habits, has helped keep me focused in the hard times and when I want to give up or let it all go.

I also thank my Uncle for his guidance, wisdom, and unwavering support that has made a profound impact on my life. He has been in the business world for a long time and has been huge.

I want to thank a mentor of mine, Tami Holladay @ Holladaycoaching. She helped my over the first 15 months of owning and starting Hydrate to remember my values and the why behind what I am doing. This was a HUGE benefit in my personal and professional side of the business.
