Hi Johana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started Golden Cleaning because I wanted freedom—not just financial, but freedom over my time and my future. I had worked hard for others and realized that if I could put that same energy into something of my own, I could build something meaningful while also creating opportunities for others. I wanted to offer a service I could be proud of, one that made a real difference in people’s lives and homes.

What should our readers know about your business?
Golden Cleaning is a residential and commercial cleaning company serving the Denver metro area. We specialize in deep cleans, move-in/move-out services, post-construction cleanups, and recurring cleanings. What sets us apart is not just the quality of our work, but the care behind it. We’re not just cleaning—we’re helping people create healthier, calmer, more organized spaces they can truly enjoy.

I think what makes Golden Cleaning different is that we’re reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in each client’s experience. I’ve always believed that trust is the foundation of any good service, and we work hard to earn and keep that trust. When we walk into a home or business, we treat it as if it were our own.

I’m most proud of how far we’ve come, especially considering how everything started. This business was built from scratch—no big investors or team at the beginning—just hard work, consistency, and the determination to grow one step at a time. It hasn’t been easy. There were times when I was cleaning, taking calls, managing schedules, and doing marketing all by myself. But every challenge taught me something: how to stay focused, how to adapt, and how to keep going even when things felt uncertain.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that building something meaningful takes time. You have to trust the process and be willing to learn every day. Another lesson: don’t be afraid to ask for help or to delegate when the time is right—it’s how you grow.

What I want the world to know about Golden Cleaning is that we are more than just a cleaning company. We’re a small business built with love, resilience, and a strong desire to serve others with integrity. My story—and the story of Golden Cleaning—is one of growth, grit, and gratitude. And we’re just getting started.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit Denver, I’d take them straight to Denver Central Market—it’s one of my favorite spots. I love walking around the area, grabbing a coffee from a small café, and just soaking up the vibe.

We’d definitely spend a day at Rocky Mountain National Park—the views are breathtaking and it’s the perfect way to experience Colorado’s beauty.

I’d also take them to Spark Social for a fun night out, and we’d explore the street art and food in RiNo.

We’d plan quick trips to Breckenridge and Boulder, two of my favorite cities near Denver. Breckenridge especially feels magical all year round.

It’d be a week full of great food, nature, art, and good coffee just the way I like to enjoy Colorado.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout first and foremost to my husband—he has always been my right hand, my biggest supporter, and the one who stands beside me through every challenge and victory. His constant encouragement, love, and belief in me have been the foundation of everything I’ve built.

Secondly, I want to recognize all the hardworking women and mothers out there. The ones who hustle every single day—often without recognition—to build a better life for their families. Their strength, resilience, and determination inspire me deeply. This journey is for them, too.
