Meet John Cain | Pikes Peak Co Capt
We had the good fortune of connecting with John Cain and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi John, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Pikes Peak Villains is not a business. We are a non profit charity group. We are a Chapter of Bearded Villains. We are constructed on the belief in Brotherhood, Family, Charity, Loyalty, Respect, Positivity, and of course The Beard.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets Pikes Peak Villains apart from others? Well, the simple answer is our beards.
Its not everyday you see a group of individuals that have created a group solely on their facial hair. Pikes Peak Villains as a group is a very tight group. We talk via LINE as a group daily, but we also have access to 168 Chapters in 38 Countries we can reach out to.
Pikes Peak Villains in 2025 are striving to be a stronger presence in our local communities. Such as participating in the MS Walk in Colorado Springs this upcoming May and the Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk in Denver in September. We will also be selling a collaboration Bearded Villains/Pikes Peak sock patch. All proceeded will be used to purchase socks for the homeless.
Organization of ourselves as a group has been our biggest challenge. Every one of our members have our own lives away from the Chapter. So at times its difficult to organize our meet ups or a zoom call to make sure everyone is included. To overcome this, we have began to schedule and plan our events 4-5 months in advance. Not only for our members but to include those in the community. We are always looking for new members so our events are always open to the public.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well. This is definitely a preference question.
