We had the good fortune of connecting with John Minen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi John, how does your business help the community?
At Colorado Sports Chiropractic, Massage, and Physiotherapy we are all active and engaged members of the communities we work with (Running, Climbing, Soccer, Softball, Skiing, Cycling, etc) and we give back to the community by volunteering at events, raising money for trail building and maintenance, and sponsoring athletes in need. We are dedicated to helping individuals reach their sports performance and overall health goals so that they can lead happy and healthy lives.

What should our readers know about your business?
We continue to provide 1-on-1 care to the patient from the provider for their entire appointment time where most clinics skimp on services rendered by the actual doctor. We also are staffed by some of the most highly educated and skilled clinicians in their field and who have gone extra lengths to attain certifications in techniques that most other providers do not take the time to learn. This process was not easy and it also took several years and lots of up front costs, however, we are extremely pleased with our results.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Grab a drink at the rooftop of Corrida and enjoy the best views of the flatirons that a restaurant in Boulder can offer. A nice hike up Chataqua park is always a crowd pleaser, but if you have time a trip to Rocky Mountain National park or Brainard Lake is worth the drive.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Big shout out to Dr. Leahy for paving the way for chiropractors by creating and educating providers in active release techniques. Credit to Dr. Scappaticci, the creator of the Fascial Abrasion Technique for mentoring me and training me through chiropractic school and treating me while competing at the University of Virginia. He set the bar for me to understand what Chiropractic could be. A big thanks to Dr. Josh Glass and Dr. Norm Eng at Georgia Sports Chiropractic.
