We had the good fortune of connecting with john Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi john, what inspires you?
I have always been a outdoors guy ,I don’t miss to many sunrises. The beauty the world has to offer is truly amazing! I think from the first time I saw a sunrise I was hooked ,It was in PA camping on a lake . Then I thought how cool would it be to capture this memories.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have done so many things in my life, Nothing is easy. But I have always ended up back behind the camera. I was everything from a Construction Superintendent to hunting guide. I filmed out door TV for a few years. But found I was a much better Photographer the a video camera man. I traveled to many different counterys with that job.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well my favorite time of year is fall. We would hike and camp where ever the leaves were changing. S/W Colorado. I would say I like to be in the woods .So that said we would eat at camp. but so many great towns in Colorado. I live in Grand lake we would start at on the waterfront rest .Then the sagebrush .Then Rocky Mountain national park is at my back door. Grand lake / Shadow Mountain lake /lake Granby all great for water sports and fishing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would have to say way back in 7th grade, The man in charge of the AV ( audio visual ) department was for sure the first man to teach me the basics of Photography. Then all of my friends that told me I should have a gallery and sell my work. I have the best friends that a guy could ever ask for. I also say go big or stay home. You have to take some chances in life ,I have taken lots in my life and it has paid off,
