We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordy Bron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordy, how do you think about risk?
I believe taking risk is a necessary factor to grow your business and growing as a person. The right calculated risk or act of getting out of your comfort zone can result in experiences and lessons that bring you closer to your goals or potential . Every risk I have taken whether successful or not, resulted in a lesson that I used to grow.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of the things that makes my brand unique is my unique take on Upcycled design ,I love to mesh style and functionality. All of my garments are designed and sewn by me all from recycled materials making each garment special. What I want people to take from my story is that persistence and dedication pays off! I learned how to sew at 13 and started my first brand at 14. Started and failed many brands and ideas along the way ,adapting and learning until finally found what works for me at 26 years old . Took me 10 years but one thing I never did was stop learning or creating!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m actually from a small town Illinois, so not much excitement. I find fulfillment & enjoyment from creating ,growing my business, raising my 2 year old son and improving my health and fitness. So if you came to my city we would probably start the day at the gym get some Mexican food at “La Familia” Bakery & taco spot ,hit the thrift and/or antique shop then head back to the work studio to design.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am very fortunate to have a supportive family behind me. My biggest support coming from my Mother and siblings ,without their words of encouragement and support I would have not gotten this far.
