We had the good fortune of connecting with David Tatham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Hmm this is a really good questions! I think for us and our success really comes down to just being friendly and having a good vibe about us and our interactions with customers. Asking me photogrpah and capture your moments to me is very personal. So we do all we can to make sure they are comfortable with us can play, joke, and be yourself both just talking to me and on front of my camera.

I think the biggest success/compliment we get is when people are referred to us not only because the quality of our work but to because they were told they will feel comfortable with us and just have fun!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Ooof this is a really tough one! I’ll be honest the photography world is very saturated right now so it is very hard to stand out. Every form has its niche and a guru of some sort that everyone is compared to. But for me I think my defining factor is I don’t have a niche I love all forms and given chance I’ll attempt every style and do my best to do it proud. Which it is not an easy task by any means. I am constantly learning, taking workshop classes, watching YouTube videos, reading articles and just experimenting. Through this all tho I have learned I love to learn and explore what I can do. Have I overcame these challenges yet? Heck no! Have ya seen me go viral or on a cover yet.. nope but that’s part of the journey. When people see d20photography I want them to see joy and love of life and the movements it gives us.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dude! That’s a loaded questions! This is colorado for one do you know how much cool shit there is here?

Give ya an itinerary that’s a no go bud just to much to name. But I can give ya places we would check out that are my favorites. We hike up uneve pass to see parts of Colorado no one gers to see and snow melt lakes not ruined by mankind, visit Brainard lake, show them a 14ner or even a 13nr, the troll in Breckenridge, and the veiws of twin lakes Leadville, then in town we be sure to stop at wonder wonder for photos, bar tacos for tacos in Boulder, something brewery in brighton, cannonball brewery in Golden, hit the springs and kill them on the incline and beers at the top.. maybe relax by paddle boarding in barr lake or Boulder res

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Now that’s an easy one! I say my wife is my number 1 fan and supporter. Years ago I put the camera down and killed my artistic self and she bought me a new camera and encouraged me to find myself in this endeavor
