We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordyn Schoettner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordyn, why did you pursue a creative career?
I decided to pursue an artistic and creative career in influencing and content creation because, as a stay-at-home mom, I was always looking for fun activities to keep my kids and myself engaged. What started as a way to document and share our adventures around town quickly became a passion for creating content that inspires and entertains others. Sharing our experiences has been incredibly fulfilling, and I love connecting with a broader community through our shared love of creativity and fun. Creating content gives me the flexibility to work with my kids and around their schedules. I can plan our activities, film, and edit at times that suit our family routine. This career allows me to be present for important moments in my children’s lives while still pursuing my passion and connecting with a broader community. The balance between work and family life is incredibly fulfilling, and I love that I can share the journey of our adventures and have those memories to look back on.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career began as an unemployed stay-at-home mom looking for a way to bring in extra income. I started with a direct sales MLM, selling weight loss products that I not only did not need but did not like or support. This company taught me a great deal about social media and running my own business without me even knowing. I had successfully led my own team until COVID-19 hit, which was a challenging time for many, including myself and family. To supplement the lost income, I began creating personalized products like shirts and tumblers to sell on Etsy and Facebook Marketplace. During the summer of the pandemic, my family took a trip to Walt Disney World, which sparked my love for theme parks and the company even more since this was my first time visiting the parks as an adult. We used a Disney travel professional for our trip, and with my background in sales and social media, I decided to shoot my shot. Since 2021, I have been working as a Disney travel professional and running my content creation accounts around Colorado and beyond. It hasn’t been easy—late nights, debt, sweat, and tears—but it’s all for my kids and my family. Through this journey, I’ve learned that hard work and perseverance are key, and I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved. I want the world to know that my brand and story are built on resilience, passion, and a deep love for my family.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area for a week, I’d make sure to give them an unforgettable experience filled with the best that Colorado has to offer. We’d start with a relaxing lunch at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, before enjoying a leisurely walk around City Park and exploring the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. We have to bring the kids of course. For dinner, we’d sample local foods at The Denver Central Market.
The next day would be all about outdoor adventure. Beginning with a morning hike at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, followed by a picnic lunch and paddle boarding or kayaking at Bear Creek Lake Park. We’d cap the day with a hearty meal at The Fort Restaurant, known for its unique Colorado cuisine.
For a taste of culture and history, we’d visit the Denver Art Museum, enjoy a trendy lunch at Root Down, and take a tour of the historic Union Station, perhaps stopping by The Tattered Cover Book Store. Dinner would be at El Five, offering tapas and an incredible city skyline view.
We’d spend a fun-filled day at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park, followed by a casual dinner at Casa Bonita, granted we can get a link! We could head to Boulder to hike the Flatirons, have lunch at The Kitchen, visit local breweries like Avery Brewing Company, and return to Denver for dinner at Linger, a former mortuary-turned-trendy restaurant or the Melting Pot that is supposedly a haunted ex-jail.
A day dedicated to shopping and relaxation is a must and would include a morning at one of the many shopping centers around town, depending on the budget! A light lunch at True Food Kitchen, and an afternoon at the Denver Botanic Gardens, ending with comfort food at Steuben’s, sounds like an amazing night.
On the final day, we’d have breakfast at Jelly Café, explore the unique boutiques of Larimer Square, enjoy a casual lunch at Illegal Pete’s, and visit the Denver Zoo or Downtown Aquarium.
Throughout the week, we’d explore local spots like the Stanley Marketplace and the Gaylord Hotel in Aurora for a classic cocktail or check out a concert at The Bluebird Theater in downtown. Some of the most fun, interesting, and exciting things to check out in Colorado include the vibrant local arts scene, outdoor adventures in the mountains, unique dining experiences, and the friendly, welcoming community. Colorado offers a perfect mix of urban excitement and natural beauty, ensuring an unforgettable visit.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate a heartfelt thank you to my husband, my close family, and my amazing kids for supporting me in my content creation career. Pursuing something new and stepping out of my comfort zone was challenging at first, but it quickly became second nature with their unwavering support. From my incredible husband, for holding down the fort at home while I run some of our adventures alone. I couldn’t be where I am today without his love and support over these past 12 years. To all my family who pitch in to watch the kids when it’s a 21+ event and my kids, for being such troopers through countless video takes. , I am truly grateful for every one of them.
