We had the good fortune of connecting with Katerina Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katerina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Hi, I will be happy to! At first, I wasn’t planning on turning Loving You Teeth Cleanser into a business. The evolution of that began when I was in a search of the best toothpaste for my kids. I was honestly in shock finding out how many toxins are in commercial toothpastes. It’s nearly impossible to avoid everything that doesn’t serve the human body but if something can be replaced with simple natural products — that’s what I’m all about. I did some more investigating on how to effectively take care of oral hygiene in a healthy natural way. I used multiple resources and it surprised me how simple it is to have a healthy mouth without using chemicals that kill 99.9% bacteria as you see advertised. You actually need to keep some bacteria in your mouth so it can support the proper function of your GI tract. My boyfriend, Scott, and I created a recipe that is effective, simple, and tasty. At that point, we wanted to share it with everyone who is in search of a naturally healthy mouth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am barely at the tip of the iceberg. I have big plans for Loving You and I can’t wait to share all my ideas with you. The first product we introduced is an all natural Remineralizing Teeth Cleanser, which comes in a Blood Orange Peppermint flavor. We used simple but effective ingredients to create the right mixture to help protect, whiten, and care for not only your teeth but your complete oral hygiene. It is a coconut oil based mixture with a wonderful blend of the right toxin-free ingredients your mouth craves. It’s better than a lightning in a bottle! So far my product is on Etsy and sold by word of mouth. I have also talked to a couple of local stores with Colorado made products and hoping to get my teeth cleanser soo on their shelves as well.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

I always like to explore new places to eat. I came across Cuba Bakery and Cafe recently. The desserts there are to die for. Ethiopian food is really high on my list as well. The food is wonderful and everytime we eat there, we celebrate our recent sponsorship for a child from Ethiopia. His name is Abubeker and he is 8 years old.

I think Golden and Boulder are the perfect places to visit and see the best local presentation of art and shops. I would make a stop at either of those and get a nice sweet snack, ice cream or fudge.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely have to give a huge shoutout to my boyfriend Scott for believing in me and my ideas. He always hears what I came up with and helps me to bring it to fruition. I wouldn’t be able to do it without him encouraging me and believing in me. I am certain that everything is possible and with the right support…. ideas become a success. If for some reason they didn’t work out it’s important to have fun along the way. Listening to audiobooks about business, personal development, and about success stories has helped me expand my mind in new directions as well.
