We had the good fortune of connecting with Kathryn Morgan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kathryn, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Ever since a young age, I have been in constant search of growth. Whether it be getting to know myself better, reaching new professional milestones or even just pivoting with this ever changing world, I thrive off knowing that I am in motion because motion = life. I have always viewed risks as opportunities to learn and that perspective has absolutely set me apart in my professional fitness journey.

I have invested time and money in many failed projects. I have rushed into new entrepreneurial endeavors. I have partnered with the wrong people & I have completely over extended myself with too many commitments. All of these risks- time, money & relationships, have helped me to embrace the movement of life and understand that a failed attempt is ALWAYS better than no attempt at all. That being said, I have also fiscally profited, gained knowledge, partnered with global brands & grown my self-confidence because of my willingness to put myself out there and give anything a go at least once.

We must remember, without movement, without change, without RISK, we are not truly living and experiencing life to the fullest.

What should our readers know about your business?
The fitness industry is ever changing and with that you must never stop learning. I make it appoint to never be the smartest person in the room. I am constantly taking new courses, learning new tips and tricks from other trainers & listening to or reading about the newest fads to keep up with my current and future clients. In 2017 I had committed myself to being the most well rounded trainer possible. That year I completed my 200 hour yoga training, competed in my first powerlifting competition and ran my first half marathon. Since then I have vowed to try all sorts of new movement styles and fitness routines in order to relate to every body and mind. Because of my wide range of experience, I have had clients from all different levels of expertise & different demographics. Although they each have different limitations and goals they all have one thing in common- the desire to learn about their body, create lasting change & their love for the energy I bring to each session.
Regardless of where you catch me, either in a class, via zoom, 1:1 training, or even on my social media platforms you can expect smiling, dancing & “only good vibes” Kathryn. I am a true believer that we have the control to make every day the best and I do everything in my power to spread that positive energy during each interaction. Positive attitude= positive results.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There is a running joke that whenever one of my friends or family members comes out to visit me here in Denver it is “Kathryn’s Bootcamp.” We would start the weekend with a 7am Kickboxing class at FitHouse Denver and then head back to Washington Park to walk the dogs and enjoy watching the hustle of the early risers. After stopping for a coffee at Wash Perk we would then swing over to my friends at REBEL Bread to try their one of a kind creations. We would load up and head out to the mountains next- whether it be Bear Creek Trail up to Panorama Point or out to Mount Sanitas, it is always a good time to get some perspective and take in the beauty of Colorado. Ending the weekend with a concert out at Red Rocks would be the best way to conclude the trip.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people in my life I would like to give a shout out to for supporting me through all the hills and valleys of my fitness career. However, the one who has really helped me put my business, my time and my life into perspective is my Mom. I have always been very inspired by my mother- her cooking, her constant planning ahead, her love for helping others, her ability to take action- this woman literally does it all. And still- despite her recent diagnose of Stage 4 Breast Cancer- SHE KEEPS GOING. With this perspective changing event, I have adjusted my training style to more specifically fit the immediate needs of my clients while maintaining focus on creating healthy sustainable lifestyle habits. We really do not know how much time we have left on this earth and every moment counts. I make sure to help my clients leave feeling happier, stronger, proud of where they are today and excited for where they will be tomorrow.
