Meet Katie Meloche | Conscious Breathwork Facilitator & Senior Sales Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Meloche and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
With 10 years in tech under my belt, I’ve seen so much happen in the industry. One constant, has been change. The tech landscape over the last two years has been tumultuous and there’s this feeling of collective burnout. When I found this style of breathwork and watched it transform my life, I knew that everyone in this industry could benefit from its impact. I’ve always given back to the industry from a fitness and wellness perspective, but this work… this is then important work! In April of 2023 I jumped into a 250+ hour trauma-informed apprenticeship to be able to offer conscious Breathwork virtually, and in person. The program wrapped up in February and it’s been a beautiful journey since.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
If you would’ve told me what my career would look like in high school or college, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. Why? I didn’t know it existed! I’ve spent the breadth of my career in technical sales. Meaning, I support and coach Account Executives from a technical and strategic standpoint on deals. This career has been dynamic and every day is a little bit different. What is has offered me is a lot of flexibility to pursue passion work, which is where conscious Breathwork comes in.
While the gap seems to be gapping less, there have been many times in my career where age and gender gaps were very apparent. Sharing my fitness pursuits (bodybuilding) and my journey to was a way in which I was able to bridge that. Now with breathwork, I’m able to give back to mentors who have given me so much.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Laughing, because I might have the most random list. We absolutely will train at Armbrust Pro Gym, so I hope said friend is ready to train legs at altitude. On Wednesday, we would go to Miss Rosalee’s line dancing class at Grizzly Rose. Next on the list would be Elizabeth Filkin’s Cosmic Tea Holistic Shop in Greenwood Village. You won’t find a more beautiful and supportive self care shop. Dinner in LoHi would also be on the list, and while I’m a huge Red Wings fan.. the Avs in playoffs games are pretty electric. Is there anything better than playoff hockey?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to thank Anna Stumpf and David Braidwood. Their friendship, mentorship, and encouragement has met me in a variety of pivotal moments in life and career — for which, I am eternally grateful.
