We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Wafer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hydrate IV Bar is a collection of IV therapy spas promoting wellness from within. Clients come to us to enjoy vitamin-infused IV therapy drips and injections in a spa-like atmosphere. Many can’t imagine how getting an IV could ever be relaxing, but they’re minds are quickly changed at our Hydrate IV Bar spas. You sit in a comfortable recliner, listen to chill music, watch something soothing on TV (we love Planet Earth!), and let our team of nurses do the work! We have expanded to six locations in Colorado since 2016 — four in Denver, one in Boulder and our first franchise now open on Fort Collins! We officially launched our national franchising program this month and are now accepting applications for future franchise expansion across the country. We’ve been blown away by the response so far!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lately, I’ve been spending most of my time at Nurture Wellcare Marketplace. It’s similar to a food hall but for wellness, fitness and beauty businesses. There are more than 50 small business owners inside the building, including a salt cave, a cafe, and a few of my favorites… Rhythm Revolution spin studio, Stretch Remedy, Function First chiropractic, Herbalism Roots apothecary, The Accidental Psychic and so much more. I was so inspired by their plans last year that we signed on and opened our fourth Denver location inside too — I just knew Hydrate IV Bar had to be involved. It’s been challenging to see such an incredible concept have to open during COVID, but I am impressed with everyone’s perseverance and can’t recommend visiting enough!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Hydrate IV Bar wouldn’t be where it is today without my mentor Amy Dickerson. We met through the Cherry Creek Chamber, and over the years, our relationship has taken on many forms — mentor, friend, collaborator, business partner. When we opened a Hydrate IV Bar inside of her Live Love Lash spa in Cherry Creek in 2019, we realized how well we worked together. Now, she and her husband Chad are my official business partners in our franchise expansion. It’s been a wild ride, and I couldn’t have done it without Amy. I learn so much from our friendship and partnership every day. Thank you, Amy!
