We had the good fortune of connecting with Kehaulani Eltgonde and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kehaulani, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
When I first became a business owner I was constantly working, being on my phone, editing pictures and such. As I’m entering my third year into photography I am now transitioning into limiting being on my phone , editing images and the times I’m doing sessions. It is definitely a learning process , especially when you want your business to succeed.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am all about focusing on what the clients want for their photoshoot. I don’t have a set style that I edit in, I am going off of the vibe of the session. Which most photographer stick to one type of style/edit. It was not easy for my to be where I am at, professionally. Having to sacrifice time that a typical corporate job would give you time off to live your life, as a business owner you are always working.

As for the world, I would love for them to know that there is quality photography that is affordable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The support of my family and friends who are always helping when I need an extra hand, whether is be helping with a set up, watching my daughter or giving me encouraging words. As for my loyal clients recommending my services has helped my grow and keep me motivated to continue to improve.
