We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelsey Bledsoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelsey, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I would have to say that it’s being personable and transparent. At the end of the day, there will always be someone else who can do what you do. But what makes YOU successful and sets you a part, is your unique personality and the way you interact with your clients.. I strive to be open with my couples, fun loving but also professional. Mostly, I want them to see the real me. I want them to know that yes I love my career, and I value my business and my clients above all else, but I am also a mom, and a wife. I love Justin Bieber just as much as anyone else and there is nothing I would rather do than bond over happy hour. I want them to know they can always come to me, and I will always be here for them. We will be working closely together over the next 6-12 months, so our communication is key! Building a friendship is just as important to me as our professional relationship.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our design style is a little boho, with a lot of texture, and some modern elements. We will encourage you to use color to express your personal style, and we believe that it’s important to amplify intentional details about you and your honey, to make your day unique! How did I get to where I am today? It’s been a long journey. A very rewarding journey, full of long nights and breakdowns, but also full of victories, big and small. As it turns out, I am a workaholic. When you love what you do, and you get to help people, it’s really hard to turn it off! I am beyond grateful for everyone who has trusted me to be a part of their special day thus far, and I cannot wait for all that 2021 has in store.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would start by getting coffee from SONDER coffee! I am OBSESSED with their honey lavender latte’s. After coffee, we would get brunch at Syrup. I’m a big brunch girl, there is never a wrong time for mimosas. Next, we would walk around downtown, see some cute shops, stop for macarons and maybe swing by a brewery in Five Points. Then go home, get dolled up and head out for a night at the Grizzly Rose. The next morning we would switch it up and do Denver Biscuit Co for breakfast! Then probably head up to the mountains for a hike, maybe St. Mary’s Glacier? Or possibly boating up at Grand Lake! We would rent a cute Airbnb for a night away, relaxing in the mountains.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Diving into my business right when Covid started was tricky. I was so new to the wedding industry and really didn’t know where to begin. I quickly found a group of friendors who were in the same boat! New to their craft, trying to navigate their business in a world that was just turned upside down. I would be nowhere without them, truly. Not only did we lift each other up in this stressful time, but their love, advice and support has helped me more than I can express.
