We had the good fortune of connecting with Kendara Laurel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kendara, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
I would have to say the value which matters most to me is being true to myself, even when it may feel challenging to do so. There are times when it may have been easier and safer to go along with what others believed I should, However, when I did this and wasn’t true to myself, it never worked.
This isn’t to say that it iI should not listen to others (and perhaps allow oneself to be open), but rather that I should always follow what I know if best for me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been involved in Metaphysics for almost 50 years. I started my journey when I attended a SFF (Spiritual Fellowship Frontiers) retreat in Miami Florida. It was here I first heard that everyone uses about 10% of their minds, and that the rest is Spiritual. This was the key which started me on my Journey.

For if this is the case for the majority (not everyone, but a large sector), imagine the possibilities by allowing and tapping into the spiritual part. This simple thought started me on my journey. I took many classes, attended many groups, and began giving readings and teaching Metaphysically based courses. It wasn’t really that difficult:

I would say the most challenging thing for me was the self doubt and limitations and worry about others opinions. I have learned that if you want it and believe you can have it, you can. That if it isn’t exactly what you think you want, the phrase ‘ this or something better’ is always helpful.

. Other things which have really helped me is the belief that you should only tell people directly involved in attaining your goals what they are. In terms of what I have accomplished: I organize and facilitate the ‘Introduction to Metaphysics Denver Meetup, a 4390 member group which has speakers come and share their gifts. I have taught psychic development and many related classes to others. And I think the main thing I want to share is that when you are true to yourself and believe you can have it, you can. Henry Ford said this best: “If you think you can, or you think you can’t…you are right’.

I want people to know that everyone is psychic. We all have gifts which are there to assist us. It has been one of my great pleasures/privileges to help people get in touch with theirs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Denver. If someone were visiting, I would take them to the Mountains. I would probably also take them to a concert or show or two. I would go to some of my favorite restaurants: Spice Room for Indian, Imperial Palace for Asian,. One of my favorite tourist attractions is MEOW WOLF; a wonderful sensory multidimensional experience.

We would also go to some of the wonderful metaphysical shops in Denver (Herbs and Arts, Cats Eye Crystals). I would take them to the Althea Center for Engaged Spirituality (an amazing place which has non denominational yet very spiritual events, including Sunday Services) and First Spiritual Science Church, another similar venue. We would go for coffee or dinner with some of my awesome friends. We would also probably There are also several wonderful coffee places including Plant Magic cafe.

And at the risk of sounding routine- we would have to go to Trader Joe’s. Although I know they are all over- I consider it a junk food lovers Paradise.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to several individuals and groups. The first is Howard Badhand, who I studied and learned the I Ching from, which truly changed my life.

I would also like to thank my many Metaphysically based friends and groups which I have been fortunate enough to be a art of. I want to give a huge shout out to Meetup, which has allowed me to create strong connections.

I would like to thank Ari Hunniford, organizer of Awkwardly Zen, for the opportunity to partner and co facilitate events.

I Also love several books: ‘Loving What is’ By Byron Katie, ‘The Big Leap’, Gay Hendricks, and the teachings of Abraham Hicks which believes you can manifest whatever you want if you allow yourself to be open to feeling it. .
