We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin Andrezejewski and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kevin, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I feel that success is defined by the life experiences that are fulfilling to you and contribute to a better world. This can be as simple as focusing priorities to spend time with family to learning and experiencing a new culture to appreciate the differences in people. I measure my own success by the underlying reasonings that make for a healthy, happy and simple life. All of which allows me to be mindful of being present in the moment.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m proud and humbled to work with the community of Golden, Colorado as the Executive Director of BGOLDN. Our work focuses on providing food security to our neighbors through school-based and community programs. Golden residents are proud of our city and passionate to support each other. This sense of community and how we come together in a time of need is amazing. From local restaurants providing meals and fundraising events to the local school systems conducting food drives, Golden is united as we assure our community has consistent and healthy food.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Golden is unique in that it offers amazing restaurants and entertainment venues mixed in with world-class outdoor activities. As an avid outdoorsman who appreciates cultural uniqueness and amazing food we’d have a lot to explore in Golden. I’d check off the list of seeing a live show at Red Rocks Amphitheater, eating a unique ramen dish at Nosu to trail running or mountain biking up at Centennial Cone Park. Depending on the time of year, we may also get out for a day of skiing in the backcountry, fly fishing Clear Creek or just enjoying a beer at one of several amazing breweries in town. Golden also has an amazing Farmer’s Market, which we could pick up fresh veggies and meats for an amazing backyard cookout with the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. You also can’t leave Golden without taking a tour of one of the largest breweries in the world, Coors. If we still had time for another meal after a bike ride down Lookout Mountain we’d head over to the Sherpa House for the most amazing Dahl Baht and Yak Stew.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m humbled to have spent the majority of my adult life and career working with a diversity of cultures around the world. This has given me the opportunity to learn and share stories with unique and amazing people that come from different backgrounds and cultures. Each of these experiences have given me a true understanding of how to be open-minded and have empathy for others. I gather my energy and positive attitude from the many people I’ve crossed paths with that have shown me how to be a better person.
