We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiki Pierce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiki, what do you attribute your success to?
I feel the most important factor behind my success and the success of the brand is practicing what I preach. As a co-owner and instructor, I’m in the studio virtually every day teaching or practicing routines. In the competitive fitness industry, credibility is established when an owner or owners are passionate and actively engaged on a daily basis in delivering a body-changing FAB workout.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
After graduating from the University of Denver, I worked in Marketing & PR for the for-profit and non-profit industries. After having my kids and juggling the work life balance, I knew I ultimately wanted and needed something different for my career. I’ve always been passionate about fitness, enjoying both the mental and physical benefits. It seemed I had to perform a gymnastics routine with my schedule just to fit in a daily workout. What I’m most proud of is that I was able to follow my dream and have my career also one of my greatest passions. I’m thrilled that FAB Method is strong well into year three. Along with my business partner, FAB Method has built a loyal community of FAB fans that I will be forever grateful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Our first daily stop would be FAB Method, of course! After a good workout, we’d spend one or two days in the Wash Park/South Gaylord/Platte Park and Cherry Creek North areas. Lunch at Wash Park Grille and dinners at Le Bilboquet and Sushi Den. Enjoy lots of shopping at all the wonderful niche boutiques. We’d spend a day in Boulder. Hike Chautauqua then enjoy a lunch at The Med. A night at the Broadmoor followed by a spa day, is always a must. Stops to Tony’s Market would provide several delicious family-style dinners that we’d enjoy at home with my family and friends!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
After my first Pilates class over 15 years ago, I had a wish and a dream to open my own Pilates studio. Despite staggering stats showing 20% of small businesses close within the first year, 50% after the 3rd, my family and friends encouraged me to take the plunge with a business partner. My biggest Shoutout goes to my boyfriend, who not only believed in me and encouraged me, but also helped me research and secure funding for the initial investment.
