We had the good fortune of connecting with Kimberly Fisher and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kimberly, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I think with COVID and spending so much time at home, you really have to focus on having a balance. It’s very easy to work non-stop, and ignore self care and making time for family, friends, connection and hobbies. I make sure I schedule “Me Time”. I carve out time for daily meditation, some kind of movement, reading and writing.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am an Entrepreneur, Brand Ambassador, On-Camera Host, and Writer. I am an avid supporter of making the world a better place and have been involved in dozens of causes over the years including The Make-a-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The American Cancer Society, Junior League of Los Angeles, The Hirshberg Foundation, Brighter Children and Maya’s Hope. I focus my efforts on children, literacy, and clean water conservation. In 2016, I received my 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Level 1 teacher’s certification from GoldenBridge NYC, and my Level 2 Conscious Communication Certificate from Reflections Center for Conscious Living and Yoga in 2019. I bring mindfulness and conscious living to everyday life and help people explore what they really want in life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, I think some of the best times I have ever had are when I stumble across hidden gems. The best way to start an evening is to have a meeting spot somewhere you love, and see where the evening takes you. The rest of the week should be a blend of cultural, high-end, neighborhood gem, and self- care maybe a spa or yoga day.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to all of the strong, smart women I have In my life- living with grace and authenticity. My mom, Ramona, Lina, Amy, Andrea, Stephanie, & Natalia.
