We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristen White and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristen, what inspires you?
Absolutely EVERYTHING. There is beauty to be found in everything we see on a regular basis. It’s all about how YOU see things.
For years of my adult life, I fought tirelessly just to keep my head above water and I spent a lot of time with my head down. After making some substantial life changes, my view changed drastically.
I have been blessed to spend more time outdoors with my camera in hand and sharing moments eith new and interesting clients as well as to spend a ton of time with the people I cherish most.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It wasnt until I made changes that inspired me to pour into myself that i found photography as a career. It was always a hobby and my grandmother shared that passion as well. When I started taking time for myslef and really spendong time behind the lens I started to see that this was more than a hobby. Photography was where my heart and personality truoy shome through.
While there are photographers saturating the market, I aspire to be a little different than everyone else. I take a different view approach any time I see one and I love bringing my clients personal visions to life. In addition, I have several clients and a few models I often work with that are always willing to dive in and share in my own creative vision.

I feel my versatility in my creative art and my ability to make a true personal connection with each of my clients offers an experience over a session.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you’re just mildly touring: The Pick in Mountain Village for a hefty brunch then work a bit off with a trip to the less touristy spots in Telluride. A hike of any difficulty to a waterfall through some wild flowers. Head to Montrose for some cocktails and great food at Ray’s Cafe for dinner with plenty of views in between!

If you’re a rock crawling type, there are plenty of passes to explore, which I’ve had the pleasure of myself!

There is also plenty of water to fish, swim or paddleboard all over the Western Slope!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Along with the best family and friends a girl could ask for, I was blessed with the most incredible and talented daughter.

She gets out with me, shares tips and advice from a more social media savvy generation’s view and she often models for me and helps me bring visions to life.

While she may not always know it, she inspires me every single day to be better and stronger, more independent and successful, and in turn, I’m able to teach her that she most certainly can be those things, too. Even if it’s not the most traditional path.
