We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristy Redmon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
At Windy Hill Hemp, our success is owed to our unwillingness to compromise on the quality of our products and our steadfast belief in our brand. Our commitment to excellence has translated into a very loyal customer base and for that, we’re truly grateful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a pharmacist owned and family operated industrial hemp farm in Franktown, CO that grows, processes, and produces full-spectrum solventless CBD Hemp products.

The CBD hemp extract that goes into our products is different because we don’t use any solvents during the extraction process. From the outset, we intuitively believed that making products with solventless rosin was the right way to go. We simply use heat and pressure to release the cannabinoid-rich oil from the plant. Absolutely no CO2 or ethanol is needed. Few other producers use this method due to the time and labor involved. However, we believe it’s important that no solvents are used after spending years developing our own genetics and taking the time and effort to grow our hemp organically.

Our true farm to market approach is what I’m most proud of. I love it that I can hold any of our products in my hand and say that we grew this hemp using organic processes, we extracted it without solvents, I formulated it, and we produced it all by ourselves. Additionally, every batch is independently lab tested and traceable back to the harvest.

For me personally, being involved in the process from start to finish is what job satisfaction is all about. Producing quality, award-winning products from premium organic hemp is what I’m meant to be doing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friends were heading to Denver for a few days, here’s what I would be sure to include in their visit. In no particular order:

• Stop by Crave Burger for lunch on the way out to tour Pikes Peak for the afternoon.
• Enjoy Woody’s Woodfired Pizza in Golden before heading over to a concert at Red Rocks.
• Line up an afternoon microbrewery tour and then check out an evening Rockies Game.
• Tour a dispensary or two, lunch at Hops and Pie, then peruse the Berkeley neighborhood.
• Hang out and shop at 16th Street Mall and have lunch or dinner at Illegal Pete’s.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my family. As a family owned farm, it takes all of us working together on a daily basis to keep our operation moving forward. I’m thankful to each and every one of them for their love, support, and hard work. Together, we’re making a positive difference for both our customers and our industry.
